Car Suggestion: Suzuki X-90 "Factory Prototype / Dune Spec" (1997)

Hello everyone, I’d like to officially request the addition of the Suzuki X-90 to Gran Turismo 7, but specifically based on a highly unique, documented factory anomaly variant that I own in real life. While standard online specs state the X-90 only carried a basic 95hp 1.6L engine, my vehicle came factory-built from Suzuki with pre-production racing and heavy-duty modifications that completely rewrite the standard retail specs:
  • The Block & Crank: Built on a modified lower-end 1.8L block for larger coolant passages (using the larger 1.8L Sidekick thermostat), but paired with a 1.6L crankshaft and a custom prototyped factory camshaft for enhanced power delivery.
  • Exhaust & Fuel System: Features a factory-custom 4-into-1 exhaust header tapering out to a large 2" pipe. The fueling is handled by a stock-equipped high-pressure Porsche Racing fuel pump and a matching high-pressure fuel regulator.
  • Chassis & Frame: Reinforced to handle intense twisting. The frame utilizes a completely enclosed rectangular beam layout (no open C-channel or I-beam construction) bound together by five (5) rigid cross members.
  • Drivetrain & Weight Distribution: Equipped with factory automatic locking hubs and balanced perfectly across all four tires to account for a driver weight profile of 175–200 lbs.
This specific factory spec was a legendary sand-slayer, effortlessly cutting through 2 feet of dry, ashy sand at the KI Sawyer base and Marquette, Michigan dunes where full-sized trucks regularly got stuck.
Gran Turismo is known for preserving automotive history and oddities. Adding this specific, aggressively spec'd version of the X-90 would bring a legendary, lightweight 90s 4x4 pocket-rocket into the game’s tuning ecosystem

It's hot asf out today I can maybe get some photos with a caliper measuring the exhaust manifold uploaded today, idk about measuring the coolant passageway though today...

I bought 3 thermostats for the thing, and the CORRECT one was for the 1.8 sidekick...all the 1.6l thermostats were DRASTICALLY SMALLER than the port

I can see what I can do for images of part numbers..

Alot going on in my life right now with custody and homesteading
I'd also be interested to see documentation that a 1.8-litre block exists for an engine family that was never offered any larger than 1.6

What I'm getting at is that the Sidekick 1.8 engine is a different family to the 1.6 in the X-90, so you don't have an X-90 engine with a 1.8 block as they physically don't fit together. You claim that it's a 'documented factory anomaly variant' but whatever documentation you claim to have is wrong if it's saying that.

I'm no expert on Suzuki parts but a quick Google brought up a generic replacement thermostat that fits the 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0, so my guess would be that either you were mis-sold the wrong thermostats or there was a mid-production change to use the same part across all US Suzuki engines. I think jumping to the conclusion that you actually have some special 1.6 / 1.8 hybrid engine is much too far a leap, and if someone has given you documentation saying that then I would be very suspicious of anything else it says too.

As for measuring exhaust manifolds etc, unless you have documentation saying the factory built it that way, then the modifications could have been done by anyone from the dealership to any previous owners. I can fully believe you have a modified X-90, the hurdle to clear is proving that Suzuki built it that way and not a previous owner.
