Swat 4 is a tactical first person shooter, you know like real Swat (Special Weapons And Tactics). If anyone has played Swat 3 this is even better.

Raven Sheild fans should like this game (altough I think swat is much better).
 
I have the original SWAT game. Never got passed the first mission where you go to the house with the old lady. :lol:
 
Ok it seems they opened it up by accident and now its closed again, It will be back public on the 21st again (friday).
 
Ive just seen a preview video of single player/ co-op and..... WOW it looks awesome.
 
Yeah it's pretty fun, and I like the challenge of not being able to use lethal force on the VIP until you capture him, I love using the less than lethal shotgun.
 
For anyone thats interested (not many by the looks of it), A single player demo will be released in sometime in March.

I feel the same as you!! The demo is coming out on April editions of PC magazines in the US, The april mags usually come out around march sometime. The demo will be available to download online also when the mag comes out.

I actually just bought Rainbow Six 3:Gold Edition the other day, Raven Shield and Athena Sword for $20.00. Awesome! 👍

SWAT 4 looks fun, thanks for the heads up.
 
Problem with the massive selection of weapons in RvS is that too many performed almost exactly the same.

any of you guys play America's army? its like swat. with less weapons, quicker movement, and more realism. :)

Swat is not like Americas army, Swat 4 is a close quaters tactical game, where walk slow and take your time as a element.

I do like Americas army for different reasons though.
 
it is similar. its just extremely slower paced. More guns, and non letal stuff. and in america's army you dont take people hostage/arrest. you kill them. or your protecting a VIP.
 
America's Army is more war oriented (large, open spaces) while SWAT, Raven Shield, whatever is more about close quarters combat.
 
Swat 4 is about not trying to shoot people, while Americas army is about taking out all threats.
