Swat 4 *EXPANSION PACK is released*

its good, its just most people dont like the slow pace. but a bunch of patches have come out and fixed many bugs present in the initial release.
 
its kinda fun trying to arrest someone instead of killing them. :D I just used the beanbag shotgun so i could fire like a madman and not have to worry about killing.
 
I still play Swat 4 coop regularly in a clan, the random spawning and behavior means the mission is never the same twice.

The expansion pack is due in less than a month, which add's levels, weapons, features and other cool things.

Yeah thats one of the many additions of the upcoming expansion.
 
:odd: I don't know what the major malfunction is of this game but I can't get past the "Swat4" Screen. It sits there and never fully loads to the game menu screen.
 
I have never heard of that problem before, maybe check VU support.

I did shoot my instructor a couple times because I got fed up though. :lol:

edit 2: Well looks like this is going into the trash because it played the one time and now won't start. It went back to hanging at the Swat 4 logo. :dopey:

If you have a firewall, turn it off.
 
Oh yes forgot about that (I never had the problem), some people needed to turn the firewall off or set permissions.
 
lol i just reinstallefd the game. its nice to be able to play the game at max graphics with my new videocard :D. This game is so much better than that new rainbow 6 game. sofar i'm up to the mission where we are raiding some type of rave party. i think its mission 3 or 4.
 
I picked up the Expansion pack "Stetchkov Syndicate" yesterday, Having fmun with it, levels are bigger this time around and many new features.
 
the expeansion wasnt in any of the stores i checked today. i'll head over to bestbuy @ compusa tomorrow i guess.

Do you need swat 4 to play Stetchkov Syndicate? or is the expansion standalone?
 
You need the original swat 4 game installed to play the expansion. You also cant have the nocd patch installed when trying to install the Expansion pack i guess to ward off pirates.
i just played through the 1st mission in the expansion. :) the AI seems much smarter sofar.. sent them in and they DIDNT die!! i was suprized lol. also in close quarters your team will sometimes use their 2ndary weapon on their own. there are a few new weapons that are pretty cool as well.

You can also now make your teams enter two different doors simultaniously. you can have red team flashing one room and blue team gassing another door at the same time. Pretty cool :) i havent tried online yet.

I survived through the 1st mission on my 1st try. i only had to kill 1 or 2 of the badguys. I force myself not to use any non lethal primary weapons just for more of a challenge. :P i think i scored a 75. i coulda got higher but i was ****ed at this one guy that ran from me so i had the sniper take him out when he ran outside and tried to flank my team.

the graphics are still pretty damn good. lighting effects are very nice and models are good. good textures. The game would be better if it had HDR though.

The AI didn't seem any smarter to me really, but the hold commands help out alot.

I play coop most of the time and in single player the game is fine but in Coop multiplayer there is alot of bugs that show up unfortunately.
