The idea crossed my mind the other day. Thanks for the link! I think this one is easy enough to do without damaging the wheel.

I'm guessing you just unscrew some screws at the back of the wheel and that face plate will come off. I might do that one too for the body.

Right, no man exactly that's what the guy on the video said, I read on there that he basically removed some screws from the back and removed the front plate, primed it and painted it.

I quote: " its a color of nissan.I dont know the name.Its not to difficult to do.Just release all the screws.take the center of the steeringwheel off and release carefully the cable on the electronic part.Then release the screws of the electronic part.then release the buttons.Dont release the scrolbutton.Its to dangerous for damage.tape it off. Than its ready for painting.Put a primer on it first and than the paint

Wow, that wheel really looks great. I have a feeling I'll be painting mine red, along with the pedals. The only thing is... the guy in the video put the RA menu show/hide button (inside the scroll wheel) back on wrong. It's rotated 90 degrees

Has anyone been able to actually do this? I've been trying to remove the plastic face off of the steering wheel but it still feels pretty stuck on there even after removing all of the external screws. Any help would be appreciated.

I hate to be annoying and keep bumping this, but I'm going crazy not being able to figure this out on my own. If anyone here has actually been able to do this mod can you please help me figure out how to get the damn face off the wheel? Thanks in advance.

granturgismo.com owner said he will be making a video soon of how to take the faceplate off for painting.

I just received my carbon vinyl in the mail, so I'll be opening it up either tonight or tomorrow to do a full wrap on the faceplate. I'll post some pics.
