Until recently I was not able to compete in the online daily races because every time there was a fatal glitch right at the start of the race. I have t-mobile internet and I believe they slow down or add delay to the kind of peer to peer connections used in the daily race. I could qualify just fine but when the P2P connections were made at the start of the race the game would glitch. The solution I found is to use a VPN router. This prevents t-mobile from identifying the type of internet traffic and I can now compete in the daily races.

That sounds like a GCNAT issue. You're essentially sharing an IP address with other people. I believe it's used by most wireless internet providers. Perhaps your provider has a static IP address option?
