Hi everybody, I need your help!
Can you try to set the force feedback to 1/1, the minimum possible, and tell me how it is after the 1.06 patch?

I have some health problems, can't use pad for long time, I was thinking about buy this wheel, but I need that it can be set super light to turn, like a real life car
with hydroguide, so if I take it I will use it always at the lowest level of strenght.

Some, and I appreciate that, in the past weeks give me some feedback, i was waiting black friday but no offers for this wheel.

So, I have very low budget, and I don't want risk buy something I can't enjoy.

Tank you very much, hope we'll see in the (for now few :-) ) tracks!

Stefano

Well, you missed a pretty sweet deal on the G29 at amazon.co.uk

At 1 1 The wheel is very very light and easy to turn, but you may will lose some information about road and tires, nothing major.

I also think that if 1 1 still being to strong, you can setup the wheel with Thrustmasters software outside the game if your objective is decresing the overall force feedback, pretty sure is possible like others T wheels.

As you will need lower feedback forces,
T150 looks to me like the best option for what youre looking, knowing that the force feedback of the G29 and logitecs in general is brutal and not less smooth. (IMO, but trust me, ive owned all of them and get to use them a lot)

As you said you dont want to invest too much money, so 2 handed wheels could be a very great investment as you will find better prices and more possibilities. Note that like you will using it with low forces, if the wheel runs good enough you will never get any issues (I will explain why)

Last but not least, and based on my experience,
I would also consider in 2 handed markets the Thrustmaster T300 "in broken condition" with the now very well known problems with temperature and loss of FF after hours of playing. (2 3 hours with max force feedback)

I bough one for my son (50 euros for the servo and the wheel) with that problems but as he use them in FF 1 1 or 1 2, the wheel never lost the FF or gave us any problem, 3 months having it now and a very nice investment.

In this market theres many opportunities so take care of taking the best decision,

Hope this would help you and you will get better soon !

Tank you very much for the reply, I don't care too much about information loss, the most important thing is lightness!
If is something I can manage relaxed, also with one hand turn during large corners, I will be happy :-)

I choose the T150 for the price, I tryed a T80 but during tight corners the bungee cord was hard to turn.

In this case dont think it twice, the best compromise youll find is the T150,
the wheel provided (a bit small but nearly perfect) is very light,
I just checked it and is lighter than the T500 wheel and much lighter than the F1 add on (very bad wheel because is very heavy, almost twice as the others)

Take just a couple of minutes and check on internet that overall forces are adjustable for the T150 as for others Thrustmaster servos.

Also, ive checked quickly and theyre around 70-120 euros 2 handed, versus 180 new. In this situation I will go for new without any doubt.

G29 2 handed could be find at 150, but like I said, those wheels use a nice but old technology, you will not feel anything when FF lowered at that levels, skip this wheel.

PS. Note that once you drive smooth enough and stick to good racing lines, learn the tracks etc.. your throttle usage becomes more important and efective that turning the wheel, so you can be as fast as any other.

The G29 was 129£ at Black Friday, without the shifter.

Whats your proposition ? Waiting for next year ?

For me it was too heavy on lowest 1,1 setup (Pre patch). Very heavy when crossing the center and don't think it's possible to drive one handed. Not at all like real car with power assisted steering.
Specs do say it's quite weak compared to other products...

Ouch, sorry to hear that, the patch doesn't fix that?

Hey guys,
I also own a newly bought T150.
I initially played with strong settings, 5-5, 3-5, even more.
Then i tried 1-1 and my driving improved a lot - being easier.
I can still feel the curbs but it's correct to assume that i'm feeling way less other feedback from other things.
Yet the driving is way better.
If i increase the torque to 2, things change dramatically.
put 10-10 and you won't feel the curbs but just random " sturdiness".

How do you guys play?
did today's patch improve things anyhow??

I also own this model and really recommend it. I'm using it on default settings and it feels great in GTS, not so great on pCars2 ( it's very brutal ). But since you can't fully take advantage of it, I recommend dropping the force resistance.

Go get it!
