Hi - does anyone know of sometime suitable that could be used as a non-permanent mount (i.e. I want to be able to remove the phone for normal usage) for a Google Pixel phone with a Thrustmaster T300 wheelbase? Preferably something that *doesn't* rotate with the wheel... I want to use my phone with the Android Sim Dashboard software. Thanks!

Do you have a rig ? if so what type?

Knowing what your set up is will help anyone to better answer your question.

I have an Obutto and I use a steering wheel holder for my phone and a bracket holder for tablet.

Some ideas are in this thread. http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?43350-Tablet-mount

I have a Wheelstand Pro, it's quite a basic setup. T300 wheelbase, Leather 28 GT rim, Fanatec CSR Elite pedals (with loadcell) - got the latter secondhand.

I've tried using one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PIVEN54/?tag=gtplanet-20

It's okay in a real car (when using my Pixel for navigation), but my phone is really too large to use this with the small Thrustmaster rim.

I've made inquiries with Open Sim Racing to have a custom mount made up similar to this iPhone one: https://www.opensimrigs.com/collections/wheel-display/products/iphone-6-plus-phone-mount

I was always thinking of getting something like this .. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KZH3K2S/?tag=gtplanet-20

Attach it to something besides the wheel stand and use the arm to position it in a good spot. It may work from the wheel stand as well, but not sure how much it will start to wobble/shake.

I never got into the apps though, so never bothered.
I bought that exact one when the first PCARS came out. While it's generally an ok holder, don't plan on mounting it to your wheel stand. Any small amount of vibration/movement is like an earthquake to this.

I did very simple thing - rounded it into spring and tightened with zips. it is quite stable now.

I have that exact one, use it with a Nexus 6P, wrapped it around the rig and fixed it with a cable tie to reduce wobble.

Work perfectly for me.
