I would say that 'patience is a virtue' and tell you to hold off buying one if you can. I am sure in the new year and when the Fanatec CSW wheel is released we may see another price war!

probably see a price drop for January / Boxing Day sales; however i doubt it will be due to arrival of CSW, since that wheel will most likely cost even more than the CSR-E which is almost 2x the price of a T500

Good deal from paskowitz if you have to have it OMGcannotwaitmustpossess NOW! :sly: though shipping cost may be a PITA since the unit is heavy!

I am going to try eBay and Craigslist. Hopefully I find someone. I really want to find someone in NY so I can just deliver it myself or they pick it up.

$600 for the CSW with one wheel attachment.

If they would sell just the T500 wheel without the crappy pedals I would probably buy it just to hold me over until the CSW comes out. They really disappointed me though when they released that stupid partially functional F1 wheel addon. But realistically since the CSW is so similar to the CSR-E I don't think it will be more than a couple months before it is available.

Has anyone ordered the Costco bundle and received it? I ordered mine yesterday...hopefully I receive it this week:)

I ordered and received back it in November. It took about a week to receive and it came in one package with the TH8RS box sitting on top. It was a beautiful sight. I've now used the wheel for 2 weeks and it's awesome. You will enjoy it.👍

Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster, GT5 addict !

I have a g27 and playseat evolution, but always wanted the t500.

But here in Australia a new g27 can be had for aud$299 while a t500 best u can get is $729

I travel to the UsA frequently for business and I am off to Vegas for CES today !

So I am thinking of swinging past best buy or frys to grab to t500& shifter bundle cos at $599 cos the same here in Australia with shifter is about $950. And with the aud being equal to just over the usd I'm thinking of picking one up and carrying it home. I fly business class so easy for me to bring on the plane and carry

My question to you all in the know, apart from the power supply, will a us t500 work in Australia on a Australian ps3. I don't see why it wouldn't, but I want to be sure. Don't want to buy and get it home and find out it doesn't work.

Also if anyone has had experience with a t500 on a playseat, do u know if it will bolt straight on with no mods ? The g27 is obviously the match for the seat as it is all per drilled to suit the g27. Will it be the same for the t500. The g27 is exceptionally solid, and I play hard with ffb all the way up and I get zero movement from the wheel and seat and much of that is cos it is bolted down and per drilled so well.

Will the t500 slip straight on .

I'm gonna visit the guillemot stand at CES also on Thursday, so might ask them too.?

Thanks everyone for your help

I can confirm that I didn't have to drill holes etc. into the plate on my Playseat.

Thanks mr s. did it bolt on with the regular play seat screws or did you need different ones

Does that go for both the pedals and wheel ?

Biggles for the difference in class yr talking about 17 packs, but the excess baggage fee would kill it, but I like your ingenuity.

But then again the amount of times I jump across the ditch
And the amount of time I spend on planes, I'm not givin up my luxuries, not even for a cheap t500.

So does anyone know of the wheel will work in aus no probs ?

Jdbjdb,

Just a heads up the T500 is not a very commonly stocked item. I would be sure to call the store in the area you visit to check stock because I have never seen the T500rs on a shelf in a store in my area. My friend works for Best Buy and he has seen the wheel only once during the entire year. If they do get them in it's only like 2 or 3 of them. I frequently visit Costco and have never seen the shifter bundle stocked either. I'm sure most owners probably had to special order theirs, ship to store or from Amazon. Good luck with your quest!

Not too special, bought a pack of M6 (metal screws, size 6) at the local hardware store - did the job just fine. I didn't put any screws into the pedals, tho. You'd have to drill holes, I'd say. However, the pedals fit under the clamp just fine and don't move around.

Thing is, you'll want to check the voltage on the power supply unit. The cable is the very same but the voltage might be different. You might need an adapter, I'm not sure if the voltage is the same in the US and Australia.
