I’m trying to update the firmware on my new T598. I’ve followed all the steps for downloading the Thrustmaster panel, Microsoft software, etc. The TM Panel recognizes my T598, serial number, etc. I followed the instructions on pressing the buttons to initiate the firmware update, the panel on the device went out as it’s supposed to, and I have a message on my laptop screen that says “Checking if your device is in boot mode” and the little circle thing goes round and round forever.

The first time this happened I x’d out of everything and started over with a 2nd attempt but got the same results.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If the firmware update not works, then try this:

1) Turn On your T598 base and on the main page, click on the button FIRMWARE RECOVERY

2) Click on OPEN FIRMWARE UPDATER

3) Set your wheelbase on the Boot Mode (= turn Off the base, press simultaneously L3 + SETTINGS buttons, keep pressing and turn ON during this time the base)

4) Select V2.07 on Firmware tab, and click on OK to launch the firmware update

Mine only shows version 1.98 and not the 2.07. I uninstalled and re installed all the drivers and still only shows version 1.98

Just follow these steps:

1) Install "My Thrustmaster Panel" (available here in SOFTWARE tab): https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/t598p-en/
Direct Link if necessary: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n1bwncrqz3h?hl=en-us&gl=US

2) When done plug the T598 on the PC, switch the base on the PC Mode (GREEN Mode) and launch "My Thrustmaster Panel"

3) Follow instructions to install the PC Driver

4) When done restart the PC

5) Update the firmware of your T598 base to V2.07
