Take a picture option in GT4?

About this whole taking a picture of your car thing I have to say I love it. And the ability to take some during replays . How do you guys feel about this new option? 👍 👎

Taking 'photos' is a nice addition, but personally I'd prefer a rewind/fastforward option in replays.

sorry for being harsh, but it is a silly question, it's like asking "is it better to have more features or less", it doesn't matter, use it if you like it, don't use it if you don't. Plus this topic has been talked about before. Sorry DJ, my harshness was abit harsh

Whoa, I never noticed harshness was harsh before. Lol. Welcome to GTP djtimisoara, don't mind Kev he's very blunt and to the point. I think I'd prefer the photo mode to fast forwarding the replays since I don't watch the replays anyway but keeping on topic I like the sound of this photo mode, and being ablw to take pics during a replay migh make me start to watch a few, and then I might start asking for a fast forward and rewind option.

if you ever used the analysis mode in GT3 there is a rewind and fastforward for replays. down side is you don't get sound.


I think the photomode is great. u get to admire all the efforts PD has put into the detail of the cars and locals in the game. I mean this game is mainly to showcase cars. Now I only hope the computer AI will be better

I guess we need PS3 to get the computing power probably

Hmm never really messed with that so I guess thats why I never saw it hehe, still would kinda suck without sound

Be nice if they implemented it with sound by pressing L or R or something mid replay to fastforward/rewind.

The photomode sounds cool to me. I know I'll use it. How to export it is a different matter. You can obviously save it to mem card, but in what format is it saved? Jpeg would be nice... i don't have x-port (yet, they say its in the post!) but when I do, i'd like to be able to view the pics on my pc.

It would be nice to load them into photoshop or something, and add a bit of text like.."me doing 200mph in my McLaren" and mail them.

Its off thread but I love the replays big style! Sometimes it so good to watch a race back, when u r focused on driving, u don't have time to appreciate how well u r driving..if that makes any sense.

You obviously read a bit about this topic before posting djtimisoara, in future we'd just appreciate it if even if you ask a question like this, you do so in one of the established Photo Mode threads, of which we certainly have enough. Welcome to GTP.

Rewinding and fast forwarding was indeed in the Analyser, I make pretty extensive use of it, seeing where I lose time and can improve my line slightly, etc. Having that in normal replays would be excellent. Photo Mode's a nice addition I won't make much use of in the same way I never made much use of the replays themselves, unless I get bored and find I enjoy messing with Photoshop filters via a Dual Shock 2.
