Actually paused it to this on accident. Didn't even realize the awesome backfires that were going, so I had to take these shots.

I just got an awesome 2 foot flame out of my F40, but I couldn't pause it it in time, so I raegquit, and obviously forgot to save the replay T.T I wish Kaz would implement rewind and slow-mo soon T.T

Someone noticed, that the flames are often displaced and not, where the exhaust is?

It happened a few times, that I paused the game at the right moment, the flames came out of the exhaust. But when I made the photo, the flames where next to them at the door or the fender (when you have side pipes)

I can support this. On those pictures I posted of the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP backfiring, when I paused it, the flames were actually shooting out from behind the rear wheels. But when I took the shot, it appeared as it's seen on the picture.

I have a few tips I'd like to share.

EDIT: I found a better way to do this standing still so the flame is in the right spot, simply park and rev the engine from 2500 rpm up the redline. There is a certain slow rythem that will yeild good results, if you do it too fast it wont backfire.

I found that if you drive slowly while causing backfires you have a better chance of the placement of the flame being right. Ideally if you could do this while not moving at all the flame placement could be perfect.

By shifting up and down through the gears, either up down up down or 6th to 1st and vise versa, you can get a backfire almost every shift, provided its the type of high powered car that likes to backfire.

So my method is to do a slow run shifting back and forth for a minute or two, then to watch the replay and pausing qiuckly over and over. I've gotten tons and tons of shots timed right this way, but the placement of the flame is still hit or miss. I think I only gotten 1 perfect shot which i just lost by reinstalling my game data.
