supposedly this car is a drift car. it has d1gp on the wing. but it has like, 770hp "stock", and is crazy fast to drift. is there any way to slow this car down, like, a lot? thanks.

this car is NOT a drift car!!! why do people keep thinking this? this car was used for a top speed run, that is why it has HORRIBLE turbo lag at low rpm's. the first one they build back in 02 i think got up to about 180 mph and one of the tires blew out causing a crash. but they built a few more and i didnt follow what happened to them.

well, i could go out, and buy a d1gp sticker and stick it on my stock 240 coupe, would that make my car a d1gp car?
stickers dont mean ANYTHING.

you could do that, but i dont know why the makers of a DRIVING SIMULATOR would put d1gp stickers on a car not made for it. i dont know, whatever. is there anyway to slow it down, regardless if its a drift car or not, im drifting it.

no, the makers of a driving sim didnt put d1gp sticker on it, the car in real life has a ton of stickers because its like a sponsor list. the owner of the d1gp was sponsoring the option z so they could build their car.
have you thought about shortening the gear ratios? that should take away some of the turbo lag.

not realy! sorry. you could chuck some ballast in it... might slow it down a bit. just fiddle with it. if you find it too fast im afraid you might have to cut and run and find a new ride. sorry dude! :sly:

oh i didnt know that. whoops.

and about the ratio, its at 5 right now, but even so, turbolag wasnt the problem, just too fast, and now with the shortened ratios, taps of the throttle result in ridiculous ammounts of oversteer. it is better though, i can drift it, but i cant stay on the throttle too long or its gone.

My D1 car!

I gave up drifting that car a long time ago. It's not the power, it's the turbo lag/peaky powerband. If you drop off the powerband during a drift you're f---ed. Except TeamFBI I don't think anyone posted a drift video of this car.

like Suzuki said the option z is a top speed car...

The reason it has a d1gp sticker is because the owner and driver of the car is the head of D1gp and owner of Option! magazine....

in order to drift this car you must not drop the revs out of the powerband.....nasty turbo lag GL!
