What are some cars that have logos that are "taped over". So far:

1.Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car - Licensing issues for every logo:yuck:
2.Audi R8 LMP - Infineon license:guilty:
3.Lancia Delta S4 - Alcohol/Wine cause?
4.Audi A4 Touring Car - Taped over Racing #, DEKRA/ADAC (GT-R_EMOKID)
5.Renault 5 Maxi Turbo - Phillips Stereo Systems (GTveteran)
6.Peugeot 908 & Toyota GT-ONE - No 24h Number plate

How do you guys feel about these cars? Post your thoughts!

I think that the Mercedes Benz CLK Touring Car is the worst, then it's the R8 LMP. The Lancia looks ok actually.

The Lancia Stratos Rally Car had Alitalia logos in GT4. Now they've been replaced by Polyphony Digital logos.

The Ferrari F2007 and F10 both have that.

I don't think these cars will get the premium treatment in a long time.:(

Audi A4 Touring Car - DEKRA/ADAC
and all of the Le Mans cars are missing the Le Mans 24hr number plate

in GT5 its replaced by a generic GT logo/or missing.

Thanks guys, I'll update the main post shortly. By the way, the Toyota GT-ONE also has a generic GT logo where the 24h number plate should go.

On a side note, Arcor is taped over on the Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car, but not on the Vauxhall Astra Touring Car (Not sure if it applies to Opel).

Yay 50th post!

I believe those stickers are placed on the car after Scrutineering and verification that's done a day or two prior to the race. Only after that will the sticker go on. The basic livery is this:

Marlboro celica GT4, Marlboro Lancer rallycar. I understand why they do it but there should be a way to uncensor it for those of legal age. These are historically significant cars their true liveries should be enabled even just for offline use for adults.

Ciggy and alcohol advertising have never been allowed in games, its not and adult/kid thing, its just a simple global sales thing, most booze and cig advertising is banned for motorsports around the world now.

Things like the FIA, Lemans, F1, WRC etc logos are not used as they require extra licencing.. and those guys charge **** loads for use of them. The CARS are licenced, the sponsors are not, which is why Phillips, Alitalia etc are not shown, most sponsors don't care and would see it as free advertising, some have issues with it.

Phillips may not be shown due to issues between Sony and Phillips?

I noticed one of the logos on the #99 Fusion Nascar (Aflac) was blurred:

If you look up a real pic of the car it's a Coors Light logo. I would imagine most Nascar's have the same thing.

They do in fact. I wondered why was that, thanks for clearing that up 👍.

I think that's a logo you have to have on the Nascar car in order to participate in the prize awarded to pole position qualifiers. Used to be a Budweiser logo, now it's Coors. All the cars have it, even the competing beer sponsored ones, if I recall.

Kinda amazing how much hassle must have gone into every image in this game before they even got to coding it.
