I have the no.55 version, and the 91 has just popped up in my UCD.

Is there any difference between the cars, or is it just the number? At the moment, I assume it's just the number.

My B-spec ended driving the Le Mans 24h earlier today, two of the Oreca Vipers was in the race, they ended 11th and 12th out of 12 cars, great stuff But I remembered it as they had number 51 and 91?? but maybe the number 51 was 55??

The cars are pretty much the same, but you'll notice the #91 version is slightly more expensive and require to be level 24 instead of 23 for the #51. It's also much more rare. But the specs are the same.

I have both of them, but I cant check right now. If I remember correctly, 1 of them has a higher horsepower. However, it could be due to the distance that they have already, or maybe due to one of them needing an oil change.

EDIT: I just remembered that I bought one off the used car dealerships, and the other is given to me via the 1000 ticket. That may explain the horsepower differences in my case.

No, it's more like 2mil credits.

I know there is one with green lights, there is a racing one tho for 977k in my UCD...hmmm

Technically the No.51 is a Chrysler and is the one raced in the 2000 Le Mans 24 Hours. The No. 91 is badged as a Dodge and raced in the ALMS and Daytona 24 Hours.

Basically the 51 is the European region car and the 91 is the American region one.

They're both sold in the UCD...both standard. The ACR is premium, but that's not an Oreca Viper and not a LeMans racer.

I've been trying to get onto that site too...because I wanted to work out what vipers there are...because I want to know I've got the right one.

I'm watching a movie on my PS3, so I can't check there at the moment...I'm certain the 51 is standard, and the 91 is premium. I don't know if I want to trade it...I'm worried that something will go wrong with the trade lol. But I suppose I would take a risk if it benefited me a lot.

I don't even have a back up of my save, because I haven't got a USB drive/external hard drive available at the moment.

The Garage site won't be back up until Sunday it says due to server problems.
But you should be able to look at the car you already have in your garage in the game and then the one in your UCD lot and verify if they are different or the same.

I've traded, gifted, and loaned several dozen cars in GT5 and have never had a single problem with it. And the rare problems that did happen when the game first came out were fixed with the latest update.

Anyway, if you decide you want to trade, let me know.
I have 98% of the cars worth over 1M credits, so there is a good chance I've got anything you want. Name it and it's yours, if I have it.
Also, if you are into paints or horns, I have chrome paint, every color of matte paints, every color of shift paints, and over 400 regular paint colors, as well as over 50 different horns.
I could do any car you wanted, plus 5 paint of your choice, plus 5 horns, in a single trade if that helps wet your appetite!

Pretty much. The Le Mans car will have a certain amount of hp (ACO rules), but the American car will have different hp numbers because of the different rules for Daytona/ALMS). Not a big difference though, just a couple hp...Good old GTS cars

Man, you really need to go pick up a thumb drive/USB stick of some sort. I grabbed a 4GB one for $10 or so at BestBuy just for my game save data, after hearing about people losing all their info from their HDD!

I have plenty of USB drives...but none of them are very big...and I just haven't bothered to get another one yet lol.

My external HD is used to backup my laptop info....

How big is the GT5 save file?

It's small - the saved data file is something like 7600kb or something tiny like that. I guess the files that get big are when you start saving replays and stuff to your hard drive. But the little file with your garage and credits, days played, etc., is surprisingly small. Even a 1GB drive should be plenty.

I hadn't thought about saving 'em to my external hard drive. It's still got an extra terabyte or two...

It's a relief...I checked and it is just a standard car. My mind was clearly playing tricks on me lol.

I knew that UCD should all be standard, but I thought mine was glitched, but no, I just didn't look properly.

I've got the same fear. Losing the PS3 would be bad enough, but losing all my progress? That would be a major hit...
