Are u serious?
Hey all,

I just saw that Tekken 6 came out today here in Europe and I was wondering if anyone else is going to get this game... I read one review so far and it was quite good, scoring a 91%... I played this game to death back in the day on PS1 AND PS2.... but I havent played it for so long now...

Source (in Dutch)- http://www.nu.nl/games/2109996/review-tekken-6.html

But I'm sure theres more reviews... If anyone else is getting this or has some first-hand experience with it please feel free to discuss here...

PS- I did a search and found no thread dedicated to this... Mods let me know if Im wrong ;)

Edit: More reviews!

I am divided on this game. I was really disappointed with Tekken 5. This game looks good but I will probably rent before I buy.

Yeah Tekken 5 wasnt that great.. but it seems theyve re-worked the TekkenForce mode to perfection... so if thats the case... it might be well worth buying :)

There's still a lot of people complaining about the Campaign mode, but not as much as in Tekken 5 (this is mostly from GameFAQs/Gamespot, since it's the only forum I look regularly for non-GT info and community).

As well as a lot of complains about the on-line, but I can't say anything for now, since I pre-ordered my copy and actually the release date for Europe is the 30th not the 27th (27th is for the US, but some stores in Europe are already selling it), so I will only get it friday morning but will only play at night since I will be busy before that and will only play when I get home, since I don't have my PS3 with me here in university.

But I will say what I think of it sunday...

Got the game earlier this morning. For any fan of the Tekken series it doesn't dissapoint. One of the most impressive things i've noticed is the fluidity of the characters movements. Each punch kick and spin is very very well done, very lifelike. For fans of Tekken Force mode, the game concentrates on this aspect heavily. Although before you play any of the arena matches you have to play through a few of the Tekken force like missions. they are fun and can get very challenging. I haven't really gone too deep but i love Tekken and i do not doubt that this game will keep me entertained for quite some time..I mainly just went to the practice session to brush up on my inner Kazuya Mishima beast mode but i'm sure tekken fans will love it.

I glad to hear that. I have been a long time fan of the series.

Getting my copy tonight after work... will comment on it in the weekend after some hours of gameplay.. 👍

Get it if you're a Tekken fan! It's alot better than Tekken5/DR imo. It just 'feels' better and smoother now with the new animations!

I haven't worked with all the characters yet in T6 but from what I can tell, they didn't change the move sets which is good though they did change some of the animations. My main is King and if you want Advanced advice, go to TekkenZaibatsu.com for all your T series needs. I only rent it because I have moved on to Street fighter/Blazblue but to me, they haven't change alot. But so far, I have messed with King, Armor King, Julia, Devil Jin, and Law. I wonder if there is a difference in lag between the 360 and PS3. In SFIV, there wasn't any difference. I love T5/:DR because of the funny/serious Openings and Endings.
I am still happy that they kept King's Jump Kick( Forward Up +4 (circle)) at somewhat a high priority move.

Oh, I go to TekkenZaibatsu all the time, I've been playing since Tekken 2 =) I know the inputs are the same, but all of the moves are reanimated, with some timing changes. It's a noticable difference from Tekken 5/ DR. It just seems harder hitting.

I have been playing since part 1 but eh. Tag and 5 will always be my favorite. I really haven't notice that but eh, I just play for fun and to see how much people lose to me in the long run.

I love all fighting games, Tekken just clicked the most for me. I'm experienced, going towards hardcore level, but I still got alot to learn. I loved Tekken 5 and DR, but I love what they did with Tekken 6. Tekken 5 still has the best intro ever tho.... 'SPARKING!!!'

:D can't wait to get my copy... Does it run in 1080P or 720P??

Warning: Azazel is the cheapest boss of all of the Tekken series. I thought Seth from SF4 was a cheap punk, but Azazel takes the cake. Best way to beat him is to spam combos up close and not let him breath.

Try playing Gill from Street Fighter 3rd Strike

Or Goose from KoF/Shao Kahn on Hard in MKs/Jinpachi in Tekken 6. The boss in Tekken is easy, just block his moves and wait for him to telegraph a big hit, hit him with a quick combo with a launcher/uppercut at the end and juggle him into oblivion.

Got the game yesterday.. Im enjoying it a lot... Tekkenforce is done very well this time around.... The graphics are also very nice and the moves are very fluid, they flow very nicely. Good game and a nice fresh looking Tekken... One question, How the hell do I beat that big Robot Nancy- blah blah blah in the bonus stage while doing Arcade? And which character is best for taking down Azazel?

I have been using King, boomerang kick takes off alot.

HHmmmm King is not one of my strongest characters... :D I use Jin and Kazuya a lot.... And if I really cant beat anyone I pick Lee... he has some of those unblockable moves that can irritate people to death when doing Vs mode... Im going to have another crack at it later tonight 👍

In Slovenia retailers still don't have it for sale. SUX SUX SUX! And we are in European Union.

Try using their F,D+ triangle, its like a launcher uppercut though if you can cut the motion a bit faster, try cutting down the time it takes to make the motion, its a faster launcher.

anyone playing this online. add me psn id : niigaki.

I only play at weekends, but if you feel like playing me (PSN is the same as the user name here), just add me and we may fight next weekend (I already moved to my dorm, and my PS3 is far away now :()

I play mainly with Lili as of now, but will try to pick up Bryan, Nina, D. Jin and Asuka since those where the ones with whom I was better before I start playing Dark Resurrection, so now I'm only more or less good with Lili (since I stopped playing for long periods of time and just tried to learn here 2 months ago)... and I some times pick Yoshimitsu or Mokujin just for fun...

As for the king tip it doesn't have anything to do with the power of the character, it's just that the Boomerang Kick is really deadly for Nancy... used it too.

The King trick is just a single move, Unknown was a pain in Tag and so was Jinpachi but everyone has their lil kicks when it comes to the bosses. Never cared for bosses nor rank but oh well. I only rented it but I will buy it later. My mains are King/Armor King, everyone else was just for fun like Law,Bryan, Kazuya, Devil Jin, Julia, Wang, and Steve.

Got the game last week on release day(pre-order ftw :D). After already beating the campaign, I have to say I love what they did with the Tekken force. Its much better this time around and more challenging. As far as Azazel goes, hard to beat if your using a characther you are not as familiar with. One thing I really love that had me playing Tekken 5 for so long and DR afterwards is the customization. I've taken a very huge liking to customizing characters and now they also yeild different powers. I'm gonna be spending as time dressing up my fighters as much as I will fighting.
