Has anybody else experienced this in the S-Class career races?

It happened to me today at Willow Springs. Driving the C6 ZR1, I had just passed a Pagani Huyara in the final turn and started heading down pit lane. A McLaren F1 stayed on the track but the Huyara, maybe half a second behind me at this point, started following me into the pit.

I got halfway down the pit, the screen blinked for a split second, and my ZR1 and the Huyara traded places. I was at the start of the pit lane and the Huyara was about midway down.

The Huyara got out about 10 seconds ahead of me so I was kind of irritated about how it happened, but I guess the game corrected itself because the Huyara went in to pit two laps later. I guess it didn't get enough fuel on the short stop.

This is the first time I've seen this happen, but I have experienced some anomalies in the Willow Springs pit before. Anybody else seen this?

I remember a thread about this last year. It's pretty weird though. If you blink you miss it, but you can see how the car behind you "teleports" in front of you in pit lane. It was also at willow springs.

I'm pretty sure this is what happened to you. This I think is the A.I car. The yellow car up front is the player:

This is the first time I've noticed being penalized for speeding in the pit then. The game automatically takes over the car once you're in and drops the speed so I've always just gunned it in there to make up what ever fraction of a second I can.

Although now that I think about it, I have noticed times where 3-4 cars suddenly appear in their pit areas while I'm still driving down the lane.

Yep, it's because you entered the pits at too high speed. On some tracks there's enough distance for the game to slow down the car, but on some tracks you need to slow down yourself. I don't think you need to slow down to the pit limit though, just enough so that the game have a good braking distance to slow the car down once it gets in control.
