Temp-Ban for PSN outage, or simply not GT5 related topics in the GT5 section?

I was just wondering...

Like you guys did with the "IBTL" posts, would someone please create a sticky telling people to not post the same "PSN STILL DOWN" (or actually, any thread not related to GT5) threads over and over in the GT5 section?! :grumpy: And that you will be given a temporary ban if you do create one, instead of just going to the correct section and searching/posting there.

It might help stop the spamming of the threads which I'm sure everyone will appreciate.

People really just can't read. Its kind of sad. I wish there could be a prompt before people go into that section that specifically states what can and can't be posted.

Hmmn good be a good idea, i haven't noticed it as a major problem. People are ussualy trying to be helpful with the threads it might be abit unfair too punish them, however those who do it to troll would deserve it, so a blanket banning on whoever does it could be unfair. Compared to IBTL which is never done without trolling because if it is counted as IBTL then it is trolling.

They're still popping up? :odd:

I know it's a pain in the ass, and an even bigger one knowing you can't really get on them for it (well you can but it just might be frowned upon), but if you see any of them then you have one of two logical options:

1. Redirect them. Sometimes it can be relatively easy to overlook something you've searched for, I'm not saying that's the case here but there's truth to it in any case.

2. Report the threads.

Fair point, but even then, they should still use the search tool even if they're in the GT5 section and then they would see all the closed threads and see that they were all told to go to the correct section.

But also seeing as there would be a sticky (so always up at the top for them to see) explaining to go to the correct section, there wouldn't really be an excuse as to why they made the thread.

I do both normally when I see duplicate threads, or threads in the wrong spot etc. Well, when they're not already closed.

I believe you're trying to bring a bit of common sense to the GT5 forum. Can't be done, I'm afraid.

If you see something that's off-topic in the GT5 forum, please just report it and we'll get it taken care of as soon as we can.
