good.. that car was fat and ugly and lame anywho...

Aww...sure it was pretty fat, and looked even fatter, but it knew how to hide its weight in the corners... :) Gotta love the 2JZ, too...

So you haven't actually driven one, have you? It's still fun as could be, and you can trun off the traction control, believe it or not (there's a button marked TRAC OFF).

The "nannies" are there because every parent that buys one for thier 17-year-old is what's really looking out for thier child. These kids think they're trying out for imaginary D1 tournaments nowadays, so someone's got to look after them. The parents sure aren't, although they're quick to blame the product because Jennifer and Caleb don't drive that way when I, the parent, am around!

Long day, done ranting.

If the traction control can be disabled, then the stability control can't. It's one or the other, because every source I've read has said that the nannies can't be turned completely off. The same goes for many newer Toyotas.

As for the politics of such a strategy, it'd be the same thing if all violence and sex were blocked out on television, but a button could be pressed to replace the block with a strong COPS-style pixelation over it all. No matter what. No way to get the original image.

I understand where you're coming from and what you mean, but I still think the whole idea is stupid. :)
