Terrible Server Crash

I'd like to apologize for GTPlanet's extended downtime throughout the day. I still haven't determined what exactly caused it to go down as there are several possible factors that could have contributed to it. I do not, however, have any reason to believe that the problems were caused by anyone with cruel intentions, or by the MS-SQL worm which has been in the news lately. I'm simply thankful to have everything back to normal, and I'd like to thank the guys at Neufusion who helped me out tremendously. Without their help getting the server working again, and then fixing an apparently corrupted vBulletin database, GTP would have lost thousands and thousands of posts and users. We all owe a lot of thanks to them!

Hey Jordan - how many times did 'webmaster@gtplanet.net' get the e-mail automatically dispatched when a user attempts to go to GTP and it's down?
 
Jordan, you deserve a drink! 3 cheers for fixing the greatest site on the net! :cheers: I know I missed GTP while it was down. It wasn't the same.

Oh, it's tough to say because I kept deleting them. I received about 15-20 every minute, though.
 
Yes, is was a quite somber Friday without GTP.

Glad everything is back to normal, hopefully GTP won't go out like that for a long time, if ever again.

Good work Jordan, and all the guys at Neufusion and Vb!
 
Yea .. thank God . I surf this website everyday and it was real dead yesterday not being able to get through . Gr8 job Jordan n Neufusion !!

Thank goodness it's back! Yay! Fortunately, I was busy at work yesterday, so didn't miss GTP too much!

Hhhmmm. Thats about as much as i get a week! (on average)
But mine are all GT4 ideas from people, to go on my site.

Great job to all involved though! :cool:
