Hey guy's don't you think PD should put "again" a test track in Gran Turismo? This time a real one wich is in real life used for testing cars top speed?

I am talking about the VW Secret Test Track. The one who has a 9km straight. It's also the one where the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron did their speed records.

What do you think of PD add this track to the game?

IMO it would be awsome, also if they happen to put this track in the game, they sould make a seasonal event of it!

I think they should, but honestly I prefer them spending time modeling Spa Francorchamps rather than this.

YES!!! OH GODS OF HELLFIRE AND SPEED, YES!!!

Why didn't I thought about this before, Ehra Lessien and Nardo high speed courses woud be great as test tracks!!!

This 👍

I wouldn't mind if PD added the old Test Course from previous GT games, but adding a test track like Ehra Lessien would be a great addition for testing the top speed of your car.

This. 👍

I have no idea why the Test Course didn't make it into GT5.

I know...it's not the most complicated scenery ever and surely people would prefer having it rather than Cape Ring.

Couldn't agree more. 👍

Thanks, though I actually meant Cape Ring which required more work and has far less fans. To each, their own, but I quite like Autumn Ring and it has been a classic since day one, not a very beloved track but better than Cape Ring nonetheless. IMO, I'm glad that PD kept it.

No, while I don't like Autumn Ring, Cape Ring is much worse, it looks like it was designed by a nine year old on a sugar high.

To each to his own though.

PD would have a much easier time resurrecting the old test track.

VW's Ehre-Lessien track probably wouldn't work. VW wants to keep it pretty secret, and even went to the trouble of building it in an area that was underneath a no-fly zone. That's right, they didn't even want aerial photographs being taken.

It's true that Top Gear has been there twice, but the coverage was pretty restricted. The BBC got in there to have James May drive a Veyron and then a Veyron SS to their respective top speeds, and that's it. They won't just let anyone in there. For example, they denied Koenigsegg's request to use the course. The idea of a company like PD having access to map out the entire place probably wouldn't sit well with VW.

If PD were to include a real-world test facility, the Nardo bowl could work. If they really wanted to wow us, they could use GM's Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK.

Wow. Not even aerial shots. :X

If they put in a test track again I might start playing again. It's just more fun to play with tuning options on the test track.

While we are on the top speed idea.
Drag strip anyone?
Is there any better way to show your buddy that your cars better than his.

Agree they should put this track.
If they ever do, probably on GT6...or the DLC. Or none. :grumpy:

I believe that you can do that by beating him around any track in the game. :dopey:

Test Track Test Track Test Track Test Track I want it back. Make the straights longer so we can fully max cars and then have a mini lemans or Nordschliefe in the middle so we can test handling and put a drag strip in as well. Then have a 12 hours of GT test track instead of 9 hours tsubuka where the handling and top speed are merged so it becomes the best track in the entire world and thus the best race.
I would like Spa but because that track takes heaps of time to create I dont see it happening.

Ahem secret I'm 92.142 % sure they won't allow that ;)

Route 7 is useless for top speed runs, Mulsanne isn't smooth..period. This means we need Test Course. Doesn't have to be premium with weather etc, just plain old Test Course as it were in GT3 and GT4. Just to keep up with this day and age make the straights longer by another 2 km or so.

Wishful thinking isn't it? But with a bit of persuasion I think Polyphony might take this into consideration. Not saying Route 7 use completely and utterly useless altogether because it's fun for a bit of online fun and the tunnels make great Photomode locations, but yes, as I've said, we need a huge big Test Course.

Also we need the Machine Test feature back to go along with this.
