Im still really hyped about this game. I just hope it comes out multiplatform this time. We havent heard all that much about it so I guess it must still be in early development but I hope we dont have to wait to long for it.

Its still suprising to me that being the sucess the first one was, that a sequel was not started right away.

Robin.

same i would love this to be on the ps3 and i would think it will if it is published by atari like it was last time and they love the ps3 so fingers crossed.

also a stripped version did come out on ps2 and psp so they will publish on sony platforms.

Off road and on road? This is going to be awesome.

Now this looks interesting, any news on the game yet?

This looks amazing, but a PS3 release would be epic. Is that a race track?

I didn´t even know TDU 2 was announced? Concept art really doesn´t say anything but it would be cool with dynamic weather, dynamic day/night cycles...

And please more polygons on the roads so you don´t get these instajumps TDU 1. Made the serpentine roads quite odd to drive :)

Look closer...NONE OF THE CARS HAVE RIMS! You can see the brake discs!
It's just concept art.

None yet I'm afraid, unless you count the LP640 being in as the biggest bit of news. This one probably won't be announced til' E3 2010 by my guess.

The game was "unofficially" announced about 6-7 months back by a dev. hinting at what we would like to see; he never returned though. Since then, other hints were dropped until an Atari rep. pretty much said they were going to wait to show Test Drive Unlimited & other sequels for a while.

This really will be the best game in a long time. The physics were pretty much right on for TDU, considering the style of game, they just need to do a higher poly road as mentioned above and including this offroading will be so awesome. I guess there hasn't been any word for where it will take place?

Yes one of the first arcade games to offer really quite good wheel support and also support us PC gamers with a hardcore mode with better physics. The environment was great even though it was nothing like the real Hawaii.

btw I hope you all guys have found midnight club LA as well. TDU on crack ;)

Any news when it's coming out?

Btw, why is this thread in xbox360 section? It will defenetly be multiplatform game.

Unknown.

Because most of the game's success came from its Xbox 360 version, and is most likely the console the game will be chosen to be shown on first.

That looks really neat, the weather adds another dimension to the game. Especially with that tropical scenery, thats what I loved about TDU is that it seemed like a driving paradise in a ways.

Its like a junkyard with cars from the first TDU in it minus their rims. Its like they've been put out to pasture in readiness for the sequel and whatever it may bring.

Cannot wait for TDU 2, it'll be a must buy for me. Thanks McLaren for this concept art.

Can't wait for this either, ever since i played the original Test Drive Unlimited on PC i've been willing them to make a sequel *crosses fingers a GTX260'll be enough to run it near max :nervous:*.

I'm still playing the original so these have put a massive smile on my face. If the final game looks anything like any of the concept art I'll be a very happy person.

I've been addicted to the first one ever since I started playing it and knew there was a sequel coming. One of my long anticipated games.

And with these screenshots I can get a taste of the awesomness: bloody hell this looks good!!

So am I. There's still a huge community playing it.

I had this game the very week it came out on 360. When I had a 360 of course. A few months after it came out I was praying that there would be a sequal and thank god there is. I've been waiting so long for this :). The only reason I dont play it is because my 360 died a long time ago, the PC version isnt the same anyway.

The concept art looks amazing. I like the offroading ones a lot! Hope the game turns out looking like that!

I haven't really been keeping up with how TDU2 is coming along, probably should seeing as I adored the first one. Still play it every now and then, nice break from all the shooters and stuff like that. Really good fun just cruising around the island!

I thought the physics were pretty bad, even for an arcade game. Using a wheel was almost useless. Even when you unlock the simulation mode (beat the game), it's still rubbish. I could list quite a few arcade games that predated TDU with far better wheel support.

Great concept, bad execution, in my opinion.

If they fix the physics, it will be fantastic, otherwise it's just a rent for me.

Lovin' the offroad shots, though. That should add some variety. Now, we have to wait and see if they can get the offroad physics right.

;)

Yeah, I'd agree on the physics, it's a little strange to say the least, when you turn at high speeds the car tends to turn too hard and you just skid and carry on going straight on :p I've never played with a wheel, but with a controller it's pretty hard, even worse with a keyboard, of course.
