Ive got to think Im gonna get flamed for asking this, but, I cant find what I thought would be an easy search, on this.

Im doing GT3 the second time around. Ive just done my licenses, and now Im doing Arcade Mode.
I cant remember what car I used to beat the Test Track.
Ive gone thru a half dozen diff cars and the lead car gets so far ahead, I cant even Draft to come close to him.

Suggestions other than links to the Search button(which I tried)?

i fixed up an FD3S(RX7) in simulation mode then used it in arcade mode and smashed on the computer...

if you're going to use a default car, use the Team Oreca Viper...

If you just wanted to get through it without any major challenge (who wouldn't on Test Course?), complete rally mode for an Escudo.

the main thing why the AI cars get so much lead on you is because when you choose cars from your own garage, they will retain all the settings that they had last in simulation mode...which is usually with short gear ratio settings

all you do is go into simulation mode, choose the car you would like to use, then set the gear ratio auto level all the way to the far right for wide...then go back into arcade mode and try again....I think taht should solve your problem....

Use a garage car.

The only Arcade Garage car with a significant speed advantage over it's rivals is the C-class Lexus IS200, and it makes for a looooooooong race.

thats the thing. I have yet to purchase a vehicle or enter a Sim race to win one. I first went thru the licenses, and was now doing Arcade Single tracks. I was relying on the Arcade cars available.

thanks all. Its all coming back to me :)

Try using the JGTC 300 class car's, you usually end up racing rally car's, I don't know about teh test course though, because I have never done it.

I've done it with the arcade Nissan R390 or the MAzda 787b....some drafting is needed at times but you should have no issue winning, even in pro mode with either of those cars.....

If you want a painful LONG race use the arcade Opel Speedster which should out pace anything in it's arcade class.....

Those cars are not available to me, yet. Im not far enough into GT3, to where they are unlocked. The highest HP car available at this time in S Class, is the Corvette or Viper Oreca. When I use the C5r, it goes against the GT-one or 787, and gets smoked.

The Opel speedster should be available to you form the start in "I think" the b-class (a little help here Famine if i am wrong)...that car outpaces everything in it's class easily.

good luck, stick to it and you'll get it.

If no one comes up with anything this afernoon I'll have a look at it when I get home from the office tonight.
