Is it possible?
There is a drop down for Mechanical Damage...but not this?
Kinda hard to test for an Endurance Race without it...

I thought practice mode had tire and fuel consumption.
I did a lap around The Ring and the fuel meter never moved. The tires warmed up...but never deteriorated.
They both should have moved, even a bit, during one lap.
I noticed and came here to ask. Will test more to make sure.

Update:
Drove straight into the wall and spun the rear tires for two minutes. They heated up...no wear.
I am as bothered by this as I am by any other error/flaw I've found in this game.

I also heard somebody say there is fuel and tire simulation in practice, but I for one have never see it.

yeah it annoys me as well, i am constantly doing practice sessions around the nurburgring V in different cars to try and find cars i can compete with in the nurburgring 4hr event that will make it challenging but still fun.

the big problem though is without tire wear and fuel consumption i have no idea if its a viable option in the race even if i can compete lap time wise.

for example, the mini cooper S i can do lap times around 9mins, but in the actual race i can only last 2 laps before my fronts are shredded lol.

Exactly the race I am testing for.
And how in the world will I test a car for Le Mans? Just start the race and see how it does and then restart it with another car and then another and then another? :grumpy:

ya, tires and fuel remain constant in practice mode.
very convenient when doing time trials.

There should be an option to turn it on/off...another option PD neglected.

It was me who started the practice mode thread where tyre/fuel depletion IS ACTIVE.

Practice Mode > Choose 'One Make Race' instead of free-run/drift > Go to Driving Options - There is a drop down tab for Fuel/Tyre Depletion.

Either race with the cars or let them pass at the start and then hotlap. I personally find the 'One Make Race' in practice mode some of the best races in the game.

This is where i've found the most challenge as the A.I cars are evenly matched to yours unless you have modified them. Let them pass you so your at the back of the grid and try tell me it's not a challenge in a stock car/race car.

There is "fuel" depletion in the Tesla Roadster during practise mode.

Only took me 26 mins to drain battery on The Ring.

If you're testing for an A-Spec endurance this is the best way to do it. It's really not that bad.
