Does anyone know of a good free text editor that can find and replace in multiple files?

emacs, joe, jed, vi, a couple more I can't think of offhand. I don't know if pico or nano can do multiple files.

Thanks but these seem quite complicated. I don't even know how to install them!

I was using Ultra Edit until the free trial ran out. Is there anything similar to that?

I use Nvu, it's pretty simple, and it's free. It's also available on a Linux and Mac if you run them.
