Hello GTP, Long time no see! I was wondering if the PS4 and PS4 pro texture quality differed. I also sadly noticed Tracks like Suzuka, and Streets of willow, have PS3 era tarmac textures. Maybe this is due to me being on the PS4 base model, and the textures are great on the pro. Tracks like Bathurst, Northern Isle Speedway, Alstace, and Kyoto, have amazing texture work. It might just be that Polyphony decided to half-arse Sazuka. Any wone with a Pro willing to take screenshots of Sazuka?

I believe the difference you're experiencing is in the quality of texture filtering itself, although the raw assets are the same.

PS3 Era ? oh ok

GTS on the Pro looks unbelievably good. Textures are very sharp.
Most of them, not all of them.
In one of the sequences before races, when your car is in the pitlane and people are standing around it, the road textures have a low quality.
But mostly they're okay

The most important one I want to know is the shadows when you're in cockpit view, it wiggles and spazzes all the time while driving and is distracting, does the shadows improve on the Pro? I'm thinking no.

You must be very intelligent! Let's compare textures using a GIF from far away from where texture quality is indiscernible, and to magnify the valid comparison, lets post pictures during different times of day! Lets also judge TEXTURE QUALITY ( not filtering) from this gif positioned behind a car between a game with good antistrophic texture filtering Vs one that has poor antistrophic filtering. If you had a semblance of reason, you would go to GT6 photo mode and snap a picture of the floor, but that takes time and effort. But since im, not a disingenuous person, I actually did take pictures of the tarmac texture .
Sazuka ( clearly a ps3 era texture, looks great from afar due to having a high-quality normal map, but blurry up close )

Streets of Willow

Yeah that's ps3 quality too

Now let's look at Bathrust ( the entire track is incredibly well detailed as well)

But nice attempt at trying to mock me with a Gif.

Now close up Bathurst

same "PS3 Era" I understand if you zoom the texture in PCars and Assetto Corsa then it will be "PS2 Era"?

Wow textures look worse when you zoom in on them, who would've thunk. It's not like that happens in every single game every made.

There is a reason I showed the car's wheel in all four pictures, to demonstrate I wasn't zooming in ridiculously to distort the image. If you want to be a smart ass, you can zoom in as close as AKbizzy did at Bathurst on Suzuka .You won't even be able to tell its a tarmac texture, as it looks like mush. Also, that last picture was taken at an angle to intentionally distort the image. But try again. Anyone denying that Sazuka and Willow Springs have low-quality textures is either blind or in denial. I took all four images at approximately the same hight but OKAY. I won't bother arguing with people who can't decern between two images taken at different angles/distances.

Also, AKbizzy decided to take a picture at 16 mm aperture and with the car still moving ( look at the air nozzle, it's distorted and blurry because the shutter speed is probably at the default speed, meaning the texture is blurred too) The following pictures were taken at almost the identical angle ( Bathurst one is slightly closer) . If you think Suzuka is even REMOTELY as defined as Mount Panorama , then I don't know what to tell you.

Now if anyone wants to share their screenshots from the PRO version, you are more than welcome to do so.
