Tf2 on ps3 need help!!!

Hello there! I recently got The Orange Box for my PS3 on Christmas. It has 5 games in it. Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1&2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

All of those games run perfectly except TF2. I have done everything I need to (make a stupid EA account and all the other stuff). But when I try to enter a server (which CLEARLY displays there are people in there) it doesn't allow me to connect! I'm signed into PSN and my Internet connection is decent. I REALLY want to play TF2 on my PS3 (would play on PC if I had a computer that didn't crash every 4 minutes) but its been so frustrating!!! GT Planet users, I see your help!

More like "unable to connect to the server." not an EA server. Just the game sever.

Did you ever reset your modem? Occasionally in BF3 the same problem occurs if someone else plays (or had played) ea games via the same internet connection.

And have you ever tried to play the game on a second account?


Btw, what's your NAT status?

Also the game is very old and usually with a game this old the servers you are trying to connect to have been taken down. Sorry but it looks like you won't be able to play it

TF2 servers on PS3 are up. They haven't been taken down as there is a strong following on the PS3. Your post is invalid.

I'm pretty sure my NAT type is type 2 (says that whenever I host GT5 lobbies).

I haven't tried playing on one of my alts yet

Simply pull the power suply.

CallmeDan, I have the same problem since Wednesday. I can't connect to TF2 servers, and when I can connect I have lag. I hope EA can fix this problem, I like play TF2 in my Playstation.

The problem is VALVe couldn't care less about consoles (plus they hate the number 3), so they outsourced the PS3 version of The Orange Box to one of the worst companies ever, EA. And a while back, I believe EA and VALVe got into some big legal problems and EA games got removed from Steam.

The servers are fine now. This morning I played 2 hours without Lag and no connection errors.
