Hello.
I'm Maxymilan and i'm REALLY wondering why there isn't any rain or snow on the Top Gear Test Track?
I played a license test and it was with a GT-R SpecV where you needed to brake within a certain area.
But it was evening and you could see rainclouds in the air and the track was wet.
It's England.
It isn't always dry and sunny!
We want weather!

I was wondering this too... this is probably one of the most least discussed things here. I made a topic on it a couple months ago... it's still strange. I wish there was a wet track. It would be awesome.

EDIT:

What if the wet track comes for the Stig Suit challenge?

It's probably already in the game. Just not activated. An update will unlock the track to be driven on in the upcoming seasonal special and be unlockable to all.

I was hoping for it to unlock on the Mercedes-DC Seasonal as it did rained in the last few minutes of the live race. But I guess we'll have to wait and see..

GT5 really needed more time :(
They also didn't let us use the Dubai track that was featured in the GT Academy game on PS3!

I'm actually quite happy that it doesn't rain on the TGTT or London tracks. It's bad enough in real life, I don't want to experience it in GT5 too!

this made me chuckle but so true. im a brit and can see where your coming from, but admittedly id like to see weather change on all tracks not just 1 or 2. or live weather would be good too

Probably because on such an open environment the complete lack of any visible moisture or water on the road surface would be all too apparent.

With the exception of SSR7, no "wet" road surface in GT5 actually looks wet.

Nope, they just didn't have time to implement weather on all tracks. Not that strange...

So wet track during license, and no wet track variation to choose isn't strange?

Okay, you can have the keys to my car but you can't drive it.

There's a difference between wet and rain. The road surface is wet but there's no visual rain. Just like the tracks with time change, each track's circumstances are unique for weather implementation, otherwise, we'd see weather and time-change for every track.

Yet another strange decision by PD :odd::irked:
They're all strange decisions to all of us because we don't work there. Unless, you work with PD, then all of the things that we think are missing shouldn't be thought of as a strange decision. I don't see why we can't have a "Skip Song" button to push, something that "SHOULD" have been in the game. Then, again, how many other PS3 games have Custom Soundtracks? Other racing games have anywhere near +800 unique cars? 24 hours time change? Even if it is for 2 tracks only. More likely than not, no other car game this gen has had to/will have to stuff as much work into one single project as PD did for GT5. Why can't Toscana (a track that we get to edit, might I add) transition to the greater night if it stops just at the edge of darkness?

It's probably already in the game. Just not activated. An update will unlock the track to be driven on in the upcoming seasonal special and be unlockable to all.
RiiiiiiiiiiiighT.
