Thank you Kaz for making me stay up until 2am to change wheels on my standard cars, even though I have to get up at 7am.

Sleepy...

Can somebody clarify this a little more? If I buy another paint pack now, will it give me the FT-86 II? Or do I already need to have bought two packs before now?

Great thank you list by the way, OP. 👍
Not the GT86. Everybody gets the Toyota for free.
The DLC buyers get a special 125ccm kart. Same specs, just a special paint.

I agree, thanks Kaz and PD! Great update! It's just a shame they cut out a few of the seasonals.. Oh well.

Ditto everything in this Thread. Great work. Gran Turismo has been with since my teenage years and now at 30, I still haven't put it down. That's a testament to a damn fine product.

Thanks for the Christmas Card, the update, the free cars, the DLC options, the gifts...everything.

Wrong, sir. ;)

Those that purchased multiples of DLC (like paint packs) got the FT-86 II Concept as well. 👍

Go spend another $2 on a paint pack and you can have one too.

Thank you Kaz, I took a picture of the update arriving today 👍

Thank You, noisiaturismo, for making a thread that I thought I wasn't going to see here ever. And I completely agree with you, I really appreciate PD and their hard work on this game.

For the billionth time, sure GT5 has it's problems but nothing in life is perfect, the developer team is working hard on making it better and that's what all dev's should do. Not just push another half-assed game out every year *ahem NFS ahem*.

PS. Happy Holidays everybody!

I was lying in bed last night after checking out the update and and thought how nice it would be if someone made a thread to thank KY and PD and then sent the link on to them. Nice job noisiaturismo.👍

Thank you for everything you do for us. You tireless work and effort over the past year has made my favorite game even better. We may not always express it clearly or in a positive way but we appreciate all you've done for Gran Turismo and gaming in general. Thank you and we look forward to what the future holds for Gran Turismo 5 and beyond.

I went to check this morning before going to school. Too bad the DLC is out tomorrow though, I will buy a paint pack from October, recieve the FT86-2, buy the other DLC cars and maybe a minigame or something else after it.

Wont buy until April though, Sony's prepaid system isn't very wonderful)

Kaz you are a true professional. When GT5 first came out It wasn't the greatest, and your company still made a lot of money. You could of wrapped it up and focus on GT6. You decided to do what a real professional would do and a year later GT5 is A WHOLE lot better. Thank you so much Kaz. looking forward to more updates!

Thank You! Kaz.

Even though my PS3 is offlne, and I've only had the opportunity to play the game as you released it, your genius and passion is astounding.
Your loyalty to your product is inspiring and your after-sales care is beyond generous.
Thank You! once again to you and your team, and may you and your family enjoy a most prosperous New Year!

Well done noisiaturismo. Respect for Yamauchi-san and his team job. This 2.02 update is a very big one, just a degree below the spec 2.

Despite the shortcomings the game has had, it's impossible to not appreciate it and the effort KY and his team put into it.

Whenever you feel down in the dumps with the development of new updates or what-have-you, I hope you read this thread Yamauchi-san. Nice work. 👍

Key word being "professional".

Despite what the amateurs on this forum (who pose as experts in the field of engineering and racing) state, PDI has supported GT5 and made quite the effort in listening to the fans.

I concur with this statement 100 percent.:)

I think I have figured out what I'll do. I will save the money for Februari, and if there's anything interesting above my budget of 8 euro, and nothing interesting below it, I will just wait untill March or April.

- Thank you all for thanking me.

Good to see a postive thread.

I have enjoyed over a year of gaming for £40... Lots of improvements to the game. Listening to users, giving them some of their wish lists.

I have and still enjoying racing a vast collection of car's on tracks.

In fact one of the best £40 i have spent on a game, infact only uncharted 3 has had the power to take GT5 out of my ps3 for any length to time this year.

I for one am looking forward to future updates and DLC and not to mention GT6.

Thank You PD for all the hard work, making this game better and better.

Spec 2 and the update 2.02 were huge steps in the right direction.

The GT 5 we have today is soooooo much better than GT 5 1.0 was.

So, thanks for...
...regulary updating GT 5 and integrating your fan's wishes.
...all the seasonal events, DLC, bonuses and gifts for keeping the game fresh.

Merry Xmas and a happy new year to the PD staff and their families!

Thanks a bunch kaz, gt5 is one of the only games that i must admit doesnt feel like it wants to suck out my money

The frequent and updates and features have kept me to this game longer than most, and i still look forward to driving on the nurb in the rain, or driving with my friends.

Plus the seasons greetings card is great :D
Really captures the christmas feel fer me

Thanks Kaz. Appreciated it largely. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your dedicated staff.

Thank you Kaz and the team at PD!

Thanks for all what you did with GT5 and keeping it up with updates and adding new features to make the game five time more enjoyable than before.

Thanks for showing how game developers should always be to their children, their product, their games. Caring and still want to see it grow into what they wanted ever since before you put it down, on paper, PDF or whatever you write, type or kept in you head for years.

Thanks for the new cars, espically the GTR R35, Sicrooco, GTi VI and the Toyota 86 and the TC cars and Spa. Though I didn't get them yet and my PS3 fat is acting strange, I updated it and saw the new features for a few minutes and I love it even more :). When I do get my new PS3(or fix my fat PS3) and PSN card, I'll be back. Thanks to show great cars and tracks of the world and connecting with car nerds, gearheads and enthuiasts of the mechinical, tech wise machine that run on four wheels. Thanks from a long time fan. Since '98 and still playing! ;)👍

Merry Christmas to Kaz and PD and everyone on GTPlanet! :)👍

Like so many here, I have my list of gripes, misgivings and wishes for updates for GT5, but this isn't the thread for that garbage. Especially when Kazunori-sensei and his incredible team worked their butts off and wrecked their lives - and sleep patterns! - to give us this game. A game which we begged, pleaded and even threatened SONY over, forcing Polyphony to release it sooner than they wanted. Of course, it was getting close to six years since GT4 came out... ;)

Even unfinished, rushed and with a garbled concept, it's still the most INCREDIBLE racing experience I've ever had, like a PC racer that has fantastic graphics and is fun! Owning a thousand virtual cars has never felt so real or personal. This truly is an awe-inspiring series, and these are some gifted creators, the members of Polyphony Digital. I wish I could send you guys a card back, but this is my offering of thanks in its stead.

On top of that, I've met a number of cool people here - some that like to thumb wrestle a bit too much, but that's humanity for you. ;)

Merry Christmas to Kazunori, the extended Polyphony Digital family, and all you guys who share in this mad love of Gran Turismo. It's just darn cool, isn't it. :D

well said.! I have the same thinking as well.. how many big game company will listen and issue patch like this that continuously improve the games for us.. they could have move on to GT6 and we still need to pay for GT6 again.. instead they continuously improved Gt5. I think this thread is really good to let us show apprciation.. Many ppl have taken for granted it is obligration of the developers.. I buy many products which have flaws also and we can't complain a bit..Well done PD... The racing environment sound improvement and slight improvement on exhaust sound already make my day!
