Thanks addon?

I know you are probably trying to keep the forum as minimalistic as possible with the amount of traffic you have, but from another site I am so used to having the "Thanks" button I could click instead of having to put a useless reply. Its a vb hack, great feature imo.
 
^ Unfortunately I did read Jordan's post long time ago; he says are refraining (correct term? :confused:) from using vB add-ons/hacks. :indiff:
 
I approve of this idea. It's nice to get thanks, and I would be lying if I said I didn't like the idea of having how many thanks I received on the left of my posts.

Well I used to see it, I suppose there would be some abuse, but GTP is fine the way it is. I don't need a "Thanks" button.

A "thanks" or post "liking" feature (unlike the reputation functionality we used to have) would be great, but as tankuroded mentioned, I avoid vBulletin hacks and plugins unless they're absolutely required or if I wrote them myself.

As you noted, poorly written plugins can have significant affects on site performance and can make troubleshooting problems or software upgrades troublesome and complex.
