I'm just wondering if this is permanent for new users or if this is just happening to me since my friend who's been on this site for a while has his posts automatically posted to the forums while I must wait an indefinite amount of time before refreshing and seeing if my post has been accepted, makes for slow conversations and delayed posts. Ideas?

EDIT: Oh, right, I was posting a reply on the GT5 Latest News & Discussion thread.

SECOND EDIT: Seems when I create threads, gets accepted automatically...

It's an anti-spam measure - all new users' posts are sent for approval and must be manually checked. When your post is approved by a moderator, it will appear.

And how long will that last?

There's no definite way to say.

If you post short messages often and in the GT5 forum, or happen to have an IP address similar to a "known-bad" IP address... a while. If you post longer messages and outside the GT5 forum... less of a while. You may even find that a post is automatically submitted, but your next one sent to the queue...

Posts in here are usually accepted automatically, because this particular forum has different posting rules.
