I don't think you guys understand what he's saying.

His audio is perfectly fine, up until the point he goes into chase cam, where everything falls silent. There's been numerous audio glitches of similar type, many including Bathurst oddly enough
.

Thank you.

It's not hard is it.

As I said I can hear the cars engine sound from all cameras. Its obviously something on his end is the problem.

It isn't. Many people have had glitches with audio in this game. One such example is people racing online in Bathurst will have all their audio cut completely, only having it return when they go to the XMB and relaunch the game. Not hard to imagine this is probably another one of those glitches.

Strange, I can hear it but it's nothing special, just a loud air noise covering up the inline six.

There was a video of the real M4 driving somewhere and it didn't sound very spectacular there either.

Easiest way to determine at there is BIG problems with audio go racing Rome/careerMode, mostly audio balance between Surround speakers, AND itself on audio channels how game is using them, seems like there is limited channels on PS3/GT6, somehow like 2channels/speaker and game is swapping different sounds to those available channels and dropping some sounds out due limitations of channels, these are real problems and testing for those is place; Drive Rome circuit races on career mode and you'll notice how pavement sounds goes on car/engine channels and after it there is some rumble sound only for engine.

So often race starts without engine sounds, but you might have nice pop-off valve sound instead, then after you approaching opponent car and that car engine sounds are audible it takes channel place from rumbling sound and you'll hear opponents engine, after that game starts to push your own engine sound also on those speakers and sound may stay audible or not.

Some times game confuses how to use audio channels at all, and start cutting sound in to pieces, and this cutting will stay until you exit whole game back to XMB and re-start it again, this happens mostly on On-line gaming.

Not mentioning those sudden tilts what can happened if you press "start" button while racing, game can jam, go crazy or just make whole PS3 to reboot, all this by just pressing "start".

Is game giving audio processing too small amount of CPU time, or just really buggy coded sound processing? Reminds me some early ages (early/middle 90's) MP3 player softwares what toke all PC resources and if multitasking with them sounds started to be really crappy every time when CPU was under stress. Bad sound player :)

There goes some yell.. Like to shout on some audio file instead writing, game can't be good if feeling after playing it is so frustrated at you like to just throw it out from window.

Until they get their heads out their @§§ and sort it why not?

Afterall, they've only been working with PS3 build for nigh on 10 years!!!

Because this is GTPlanet, not Polyphony Digital.

...So that's why I have no sound on the BMW Z8 15th Anniv in chase cam. Same problem. Now I get it.

Yes GTPlanet - Covering all aspects of Gran Turismo, not just the nice bits and sweep the bad parts under the rug and pretend they don't exist eh?

And where one topic = one thread. No need for a dozen sound threads.

Maybe Bathurst is link to the Bermuda Triangle 💡

Weird. I get sounds in chase cam. Is it specific to certain tracks?

I have only tried it on the Seasonal Event. I can hear the engine sounds in all views except chase cam.

And who is going to search through hundreds maybe thousands of posts just to see if their particular problem has been mentioned? I certainly aren't! Everyones a moderator these days or trying so hard to be. Forums are forums, they're supposed to be USED. One problem one post is never going to happen. The countless times I've seen 'there's a seperate thread for this", it's like I'm in a Post Office full of irrate pensioners tapping me on the shoulder 'there's a free counter over there'.

Give it a rest. There are moderators on this sight, so let them moderate and be the judge of where and when comments should be posted. I usually don't bother with any forums because of this exact thing. Honestly, what does it matter?

I have issues with sound too. Firstly, the incessent tyre screech needs to be dropped untill needed and/or lowered. It sounds like a group of cats having a brawl, even people in my house are irritated. That's been mentioned before but I'm saying it again. I find it hard to play it's so loud.

Secondly, at Bathurst in the BMW Z4 GT3, the low frequencies are absent for a lap or two. There's just high end whooshing noises and a little clang on gear changes.

Ok guys I fixed the problem. I changed the audio setting in the game from 'auto' to '2channel' and I can hear the sounds perfectly in chase cam!

My apologies to PD. I am a very happy driver now :)

Op updated.

I hope it saves you $499 or whatever the equivalent it is to you from buying an Xbox one,,,

Might still get one anyway, going halvies with me pal :)

Forza still has a lot to offer.

Anyway I'm chuffed now, I can drive my favourite cars with my favourite view ;)

Search bar is easy to access, right on the top of the site.

Forums are forums, they're supposed to be USED.

And that's the thing, right there. Because when duplicate threads are created about the same topic, it clutters up the forums and makes it worse for the users.

1. It adds a lot of "noise" when you're looking for a certain thread, as you have to browse through lots and lots of unnecessary threads.

2. It makes the discussion fragmented. If I want to discuss the sounds, for instance, which thread should I go to? Or should I just post in all of them? To follow a discussion on a topic I'm interested in, I have to monitor several threads at the same time, instead of a single one.

3. It makes information retrieval a P.I.T.A. because if I for instance have a question regarding sounds, and I want to see if it has been answered by someone already (so I don't have to ask myself, and wait for an answer), I'll have to go through a dozen different threads.

Everyones a moderator these days or trying so hard to be.

Oh, I'm sorry. As a non-moderator I forgot that I must be in favour of total anarchy and chaos at all times.

FIXED! :)

As with 80% of the cars I have driven in this game THERE ARE NO EXHAUST/ENGINE SOUNDS IN CHASE CAM VIEW with this car.

Please fix this cr*p PD you are losing me fast.

My pal and i are huge car nuts and love the GT series even with all the faults, but your lack of polish in this game for the simplest things make me lose all faith in you.

We are literally moments away from chucking this game in and going Xbox ONE and Forza5.

Never even considered it before...
Who's "We"?

Yeah and using the search bar retrieved the exact answer you're looking for!

People use technology the way they can or comprehend, there are no exact rules of how the internet should be used.

It erks me when some upstart (I don't know if you are or aren't) is straight in with 'there's a proper thread for this'. In the workplace they're called clipboard jobsworths and brown noses. Now, I'm not saying you fit any of those descriptions, I don't know you.

What I'm saying is, if you're not a designated moderator then please, don't try doing a moderators job. Leave that to the mods, obviously the mods aren't bothered about this thread or they would have interjected already. No one forced you to look and no one else complained (more people complained at your comment), it makes you look like the only reason you look on GTPlanet is to point out to people they're missposting, infact, creating this thread had the intended effect. He/she had their problem noticed, a solution provided abd now that problem is solved. He/she is now one happy little GT6 camper. Would this of worked out the same way in the thread of a thousand sound problems? I doubt it. This itself shows how forums SHOULD be run. A new member of a forum isn't going to know that a post was made 3 weeks ago that his Nissan Micra has a blue front bumper when going the Porsche Curves when his Micra is Purple! If GTPlanet is that stuck up I'm on the wrong forum!

Those points you raised are arbitary, objective and entirely your point of view and to force your own personal point of view on anyone is wrong.

Op updated.

You keep posting your probs and there's no need to apologise to PD, the rest of us gaming mortals haven't yet evolved to telepathic abilities in the event of no manual describing such sound modes!

Glad you got your prob sorted out.

Whole lot of fuss in here over nothing.

well you'should've looked at OP before it got updated, that what he was saying.
