I just completed that long series (again, i restarted the game and bought a new mem. card) and i won the fo94/s. Thos races are long, 20 lappers. Any who i somehow was able to beat the 10 race series doing only 5 races, thats right 5!

Pretty cool huh

Anyway the f094/s, WOW, you can sell it for 875,000. Its marginally better then the f.../h.

BTW: what car did you use for the polophony cup.
 
I used the R390 Road Car and my Viper GTS.
 
I used my Nissan R390 Road Car for the Polyphony Cup. I only did 7 races.
 
Just some aditional info:

In the PAL version of the game you have a 75% chance of winning eighter a yellow/purple Polyphony 2, a white/purple Polyphony 2 or a purple/light purple P2 car, and a 25% chance of winning a black/white, black/yellow, red/white or totally (awesome) black Polyphony 1 car.

Gotta get me a life! :)
 
Polyphony race is my favorite race!

Say you just reset your card because you want some cars you missed before. To get 1,000,000 in just 6 hours, just get all golds in A license, tweak the Miata, get enough for the SVT Cobra R, win Polyphony, and sell the F094/s. (I didn't sell mine though :D)

And yes, all I used was an SVT Cobra R. Next time through I'll just beat it with a Camaro SS.
 
I have a Toyota GT-One Road Car waiting to be unleashed on that series. I gave it a short test on the first race to see how it will drive. I know I will be fine with that. I just completed the Clio series on Pro. That is a nice handling car. I had no problems with that series.

I am not sure when I want to do the Polyphony Cup though. I don't have much choice left. That F094/S should be the car you want to use to complete the GT Championships on Pro. Don't sell! :p That is the car I want to get from that series anyway.

What fun is it if you use a car like that? Does anyone appreciate a challenge anymore?

The only use for an F1 is for the Formula Challenge. And I'm about to take that using an R390.
 
I used my Blue R390 road car!!

done all the races, came 1st every race, won...... the R390 race car, i think. :D

the poly cars r the F1 cars

In the PAL version, there are only two F1 cars, the Polyphony001, (I have two) which looks suspiciously like the '94 Benetton, and the Polyphony002, which I haven't seen, but you'll be able to find out more about it if you search the forums.
 
I used an RX-7 RZ because I wanted a good race. I won all but the R11 and that I lost by 1 or 2 secs. Much more interesting than going for a supercar!
 
I like the TVR Griffith 500. The Japanese cars dont have enough straight-line power for me to beat the Tuscan thats in the race.
 
I was aquainted with the RUF Rgt so Ive used that, The griffith is great as well. The lowest power car I used in it was the NSX type R now that was a challenge :D
 
yes that race is a bastard so damn annoying that I decided to name it after one of my teachers so from now on I call it the crossingham cup cause its just like him a pain in the a**e

Hey keeno_uk, are you really that close to y2tuscan?? That is pretty awesome. One of my brother's friends is all into GT3 right now, so occasionally I get a phone call from him about the game. I do have to go to his house to check his status sometimes, because he can tell GT3 stories like guys talk about fishing :rotfl:

Anyway, are there any other members that live this close together?? I would think maybe since GTPlanet has a nice amount of members... ;) I do like it when I get a prize car before he does though. I like to hear him whine a little. Sorry dude, no hard feelings 😈

What i really hate is how boring it gets. why make it 20 laps, why not just 10. Or 5 at that.
 
I dont think anyone would mind the lap count if the people at Polyphony made the game even slightly competitive. You're either in first by a mile, or 5th or 6th. Instead of making the game challenging, say battling it out with 6 cars, they just screw it up. Notice that the game always fields some idiot with super slicks and he pits every 2 laps? WTF is with that. Thats why I like GT2 better. If you want, you can get an actual RACE going. Not a time trial with other cars in the track.

PS. beating Polyphony challenge with a Camaro isn't too tough. Beating it with a Motorsports Elise is a migrane :( Who's bright idea to only give that thing 190 hp?!?
 
I drove that championship with my darkblue R390 Road car.
Only it took soooooooooooooooo long before finish :sleep:
 
What's PAL?
 
I think PAL was a version of gt3 that was given out in japan and eruope, i could be completely wrong. But i do know its a different version of the game.

No one's. It has 200hp:p (after oil change ofcourse)
 
It may not have much power but have you seen how ridiculously light it is? PAL is the European version of the game :)

me and tuscan have been mates since secondary (high for you yanks) school and he showed me this site last month so he has been here about a month before me and yes I am 1 street away from him
 
You and him should hook up your ps2's together, and do some serious racing. That would be awesome I think. Do you ever just hang out and play GT3, talk about it, swap ideas and whatnot??

The guy I mentioned before that is trying to complete GT3 also is not too far from me. Before we moved, I lived about 1 mile down the road from him. I could walk to his house in 10 minutes. But we had already moved before I started playing GT3, even though it has been in this house since about October :eek: :burnout:

yeah we did link our ps2 together but the racing was not the same you couldn't use your own garage and had no choice but to use the default garages in it :( thats why now we are looking for a hub because we have got all the PS2s TVs GT3s just the hub is what is needed OH HELL YEAH for at least 4 man racing and it is possible for us to do a 6 man race
 
Recently I havent been playing him on Gt3 though cuz we dont have enough cars on the same level of performance so I have to develop my save a bit. Even though I have a GT1 road car and a Panoz, so blah. anyway I found out what cable to use for the I.link hub but Its just a matter of finding the stuff this is where I go :banghead:

i realy cant be bothered to race a car thats fair on the opposition when the race is sooooo long!! GT2 had nice even length races where the highest was 5 laps on GT all stars i think

**I MISS GT2!! TONS OF CARS, GREAT TRACKS (Grindlewald, Highspeed ring etc) AND ALL OF THEM GREAT OLD CARS**
 
i dont miss gt2, good ridence. I really love the r390, but for its value, its overated. $550,000 to sell, 2,100,000 to buy. Its the 2nd most expensive car in the game and it comes with 390 hp or something. Very nice car, but way to much money. But her, you win the car...not buy it!
 
GT2 was a superior game. Sure the graphics were worse, but it had 550 cars, it had these extra tracks:

Grindelwald
Red Rock Raceway
High Speed Ring
Tahiti Circut (the road race)
Motorsports Land.

Also, seattle and laguna seca didn't have the migrane inducing "dusk" backgrounds.

The no.1 reason it was better: was more competitive.

just IMO :)
