The Rumble Strip section is a place to post about anything. The obvious rules should be the naughty and racist words, but I believe there should be no more limitations.

With this, also erase the two "Read this" threads. The Rumble Strip has never had threads of that kind and it should always stay as it was.

There are always the moderators that are there to erase threads but no way in hell I want those two things up there. Are there lazy or what... you are a mod! go and do your job! erase threads! and you can begin by erasing those two threads on the upper part!

Gee - with that sort of gentle, encouraging post, I really feel inclined to tell where you can put your attitude - but I won't.

First thread re the database problems - gone
Second thread re guidelines for post - yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. I think that one will be staying.

So - settle down there, young fella.

I think a banning is in order. Now do it mods. Do your job. Don't be lazy. You have to erase accounts with extreme prejudice.

I will not apologize.

Since I'm lazy, Klos, ban yourself. I can't be bothered.

Gee - two tantrums today. I must be crapped off about something.

Yes? Okay. I'm sorry if I offended any dumb people. Really I am.

I eat poo.

Classic.

You should eat something different. You know...poo is bad :odd:

To vat_man. You can have that notice on your sig.

Clear your mind with a calming 50Km run.

I was merely mocking tercel_driver, BTW.

What makes the Rumble Strip different is the fact that it is open for non specific discussion. This does not mean that most of the AUP and Terms of Service can be ignored. I think the Read Me is great as it gives a summary for those members who obviously haven't read the AUP or the TOS, or simply don't understand them. So yes, I fully back vat_man and neon_duke on that one, it stays. Now get back to your non-denominational posting. :)

Off-topic?

Does anyone have any opinions on the Callaway ERC II driver? Or some good fairway woods for a beginner.

Erm. Weren't we talking about those fairway woods. Awhile back.

I wouldn't recommend the ERC II for a beginner - have you looked at their stainless steel stuff?

The Adams fairway woods would be worth a look, they're pretty easy to hit.

I know - I deliberately mis-interpreted you for a laugh. Unfortunately it proved not to be funny. Oh well.

By beginner, I mean someone who has played about 10 rounds and shoots in the 120s. I'm not that person, by the way. I can easily shoot 115. My cousin is looking for some clubs that he won't have to upgrade in 2 years (he's using a 90 dollar set of clubs bought from WalMart right now).

Also, I would like to persuade him to buy the best clubs he can so I can use them. Heh.

Good - I laughed. I was just testing to see if you were half-serious.

I should have known better because no one in their right mind would think of banning me. Or even suggest I ban myself.

Very sensible on your part.

His Walmart clubs will probably do him until he can break 100, then he can start looking around.

From your view point, I would be pushing him in the direction of Titleist, Taylor Made (my choice) or Ping irons, and for woods, those brands plus Callaway (Callaway irons are rubbish). See if you can get him to buy a nice Ping or Scotty Cameron putter.

No, a real car. I'm looking at the Wal-mart GTR! You can't beat those prices! They keep getting lower!

Well, he's all set with irons (he's geting Pings as a gift). Nice gift I must say. I'll tell him vat_man said to get Taylor Made woods. Thanks.

It's good to turn a thread around into something worthwhile.

I'm just glad his gift appeared as one of my choices for irons!

He might be better off getting Ping woods - the Pings are generally matched to the player and it might be easier to get them matched to the irons. Pings stuff is excellent overall.

When I said my choice I meant that's what I use - I have a Taylor Made driver and irons, with an Adams 3 wood and this Taylor Made rescue iron/wood hybrid (I get into a lot of trouble off the tee).

I suggest the deletion of this thread, its not doing GTP any good having it here.

Up until recently, members followed the rules. Lately, we've had the pleasure of meating a few roudy members who like to disobey the rules.

That said, do it! Take away the Read This threads. Then the Rumble Strip will turn into the worst place imaginable and you will be wishing you hadn't made this thread.

Well personal I have read the top thead, and I don't relay have a problem with it. It has been getting bad in here lately;well with all the spam and all.I alway thought that the rumble strip thread it self was for all the relay out there stuff, well that and the color blue thread in the test forum, but anyway I'm just rambling. And if I did our said anything to pizz anyone off I greatly apologize. I hardly ever mean any of the rude things I say, well unless there about Doug or cobarboy:lol: just kidding.:D
