Don't know if this is going to take off or not, but here goes. Having recently completed the second enduro at Tsukuba, I wanted to offer an opportunity for any other GTP members to voice their content at completing both endurance races at the 2km track with no time progression, or weather effects, or pit crew animations, oh and repeated glitching.

Adding a pic just for credibility's sake:

So, onto bigger and better things, the 24 Heures du Mans and the ADAC Zurich 24h Rennen Nürburgring await...

13 hours? I did about 8 hours in total thanks to the X2010 and an overpowered Roadster.

Well, I'm just saying, total time spent at the track is 13 hours one way or another, but yeah I was tempted to do what you did.

I did the 4 hour race but I'm waiting for in-race saves to be fixed before attempting the 9 hour. I'll have to come back and join the club when it happens. :D

I'm like you, if i'm doing an endurance, i'm gonna make it interesting. What's the point of using an X1? You're still going to spend the same amount of time on the track no matter how many laps you complete.

Atleast try to keep the racing close.

Sorry I don't I'll be joining this club I think I'd rather do the Le Mans 24 Hours than 13 hours on that awful track...

4 hours in any car would have been alright but four hours in an MX5 is torture on any track plus 9 hours round Tsukuba is just ridiculous.

X2011 and DLC Mazda sounds like a good combo for me :D, if it was at any other track I'd pick something for a good race but I hate Tsukuba, its just a big kart track.

A nine-hour endurance race makes that impossible... doesn't it?

I've done them both. The roadster enduro with a '07 MX5 and the 9hr with a Corvette C5R. By the end i was quite annoyed, but i got over it and now i'm actually happy when a room host picks the track in a 450PP room.

My proof: Sorry best i could do 'coz i'm away from PS3 and the GT website doesn't work with Internet explorer :banghead:

Doing the 9 hours (did the first stint, 70 minutes, now I'm off to bed). I picked a Caterham, fully tuned it with parts that can be taken out again. I'm doing between 0,58 and 0,59 steady with Racing Hard Tires. (I bought all kinds of tires before the race, so my choices are open).

And I'm first (entering the pits) not by much, oh and was the last one to pit. So, it should be a boring walk, I think I'll "downgrade" from Racing Hard tires to Sports Soft in the second stint and see how it goes. I want a challenge, not 9 hours of boredom.

Havent done the 9 hour yet but I think I'll find a good car out of the DLCs that can be competitive. If not, then I don't know what car to use.

Any suggestions on a car that is good for close racing that is also fun to drive for the 9 hr?

I'm about 2 1/2 hours into the 9 hour race, using the Jaguar XJ13, I'm not takin the chance of losing a 9 hour race. I will finish it up next weekend.

I did the same as Hun. The Caterham on sport softs is excellent. Doing 9 hours really puts the SUK in Tsukuba, lol. The Cat really helped me have some competitive fun. Good luck!

I'm proud to not be a member. An enduro at tSukuba is the racing equivalent of running on a hamster wheel.

All the tracks that didn't get an enduro, and tSukuba gets 2...

Precisely. How did Monza not get a Touring car enduro? Also for the sake of balance I would add a street course endurance too, the Circuito de Madrid is actually a nice track in a GT class car for example, plus it reminds me of Seattle, which I miss.

Also boggles my mind as to why the field at the Indy 500 is full of LMPs and Group C cars when the FGT would be a more appropriate choice to mimic the actual Indianapolis 500.

But bringing this back to topic, it's funny how the thread is actually further encouraging people to not do the 2 races at Tsukuba.
I personally don't have anything against the track itself, with a steering wheel it looks very challenging (mind you I don't have one :grumpy: ) but it should have gotten time progression, or weather effects at least if it was going to be granted a spot in the endurance hall, let alone two.

Unfortunately, the 24h race @ Nürburgring is nothing like the real ADAC Zurich 24h-Rennen @ Nürburgring. I don't understand it, but somebody at PD had the great idea to put some LMP cars in this race. It's just ridiculous. :banghead:

The 4h race is much more like the real ADAC Zurich 24h-Rennen.

Haven't done any of the timed enduros in A-Spec yet, but now I get the week off I think now would be a good time to do them. And I'll be sure to kill off the S2k Turbo in the most satisfying way possible in the 9h. :D

I'm after 4h at Tsukuba and during 9h's one. Currently driving GTR from DLC (power limited) i'm 2 laps ahead of Honda S2000 on 2nd.

I used save feature 3rd time now. First time i had "pit bug" and after reloading i had no control over my car. So i've restarted and now carefully enter the pits when saving. No problem so far. 4h left now and i will feel relief not to race at Tsukuba anymore !! yeeaayy :)

I don`t understand why PD used the most boring track twice for the 9 enduro events. The track is so short, that`s the main reason why it`s so boring. I started the 4hr enduro of this track and i quit after 2 laps, dull.

Maybe Aqua F1 meant driving for 8 hours, not including the waiting for another 5 for the remaining time to lapse?

I just pretend I'm Hattori or Tsuchiya from Best MOTORing. Hmm, probably should use a GT-R.

Still, GT4 had rain on Tsukuba so I don't see why GT5 can't have weather.

*sigh* I know. I know. :indiff: Like anyone in real life would be mad enough to drive an LMP on that track for 2 hours, nevermind 24.

I am confused. You have the gold standard trophy but in the same screen it says you have 53 bronze trophies.... How is that?

Did I miss something?

To get the Gold Standard trophy you need golds on all events in the game. On the XMB trophy list, the Gold Standard trophy is the only gold trophy the game features.

Just finished Tsukuba 9h :)

Last hour i played as "safety car" lol. I got 15 laps lead. I was going slowly and didn't allow any car to overtake me.

And You know what ? Last hour past very quickly ! I think AI drivers vere like "let me pass man!!! I'm racing here!!!"

I have to admit, there was huge battle for 2nd place, lol. :)

Great fun, happy not to see Tsukuba in few days :)

Good idea, maybe I'll do it in the Tank Car.

Done both the races, BORED. Mx5 for the 4H and an R8 5.2 for the 9 H

Since 2.0 update ai cars are now more able to spin. You have to drive heave car - i got gtr from dlc - ai hondas s2000 didn't stood a chance :)

So nicely spinning into the grass, after gently hit in the back while in corner.

But i have to tell, that after 3rd hour of play it got so much boring.

PS. I was looking back almost all the time.

When racing - i was doing laps (best)50:7xx (slowest)54:xxx

When "safety car" - we were doing laps 1:10:xxx

You have to complete about 500 laps in Tsukuba 9h

Yay, just finished Tsukuba 9 hours, took 2 weeks with plenty of saves. And I've actually done 17 Hrs at Tsukuba, because the first time I did the 4h race, I came 3rd :(
Used '91 MX-5 (NA Special) for 4h won by 2 laps and AEM S2000 for 9h won by 6 laps

I've done all the endurance races except the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. I won't be doing that one until PD adjusts the field to not include LMP cars.
Same beef as Chemenu and Sleek Stratos.
