Okay, i just reached the 20 Million Cr. Limit, now the question is, do i spend it on a Pink/Purple X1, the Xj13 Jaaaaag, alot of cheaper cars, or wait for DLC ?
Since we were told that DLC is coming in September/October, should I and those who are at the Cap wait and see how much DLC cars will cost, if we have any ? Just a thought about Getting more cars and pricing. Go ahead and discuss.

You can win the XJ13 from the Indy 500. Spent the 20 mil on the X1 then use the X1 to get all that money back before DLC comes. :)
 
XJ13 can be won. I don't remember where though.
I personally don't like the X1's. Fictional cars don't belong in this game.

DLC is typically bought through playstation store, so I doubt they would make you buy it in 'play money' as well as 'real money'
 
The thing is though, with most DLC for racing games, it unlocks the car in a garage to choose from, but with GT5, It can't really work that way, it would have to get put in the Dealership, then bought from there. I think.

Both are won... Go for ford mk4 or Ferrari 330!!!
 
I unno, I'm looking over the X1's, and there's other Photo Projects i want to do, So i think i may just keep it around 17-18 Million, and if we get any DLC that's That Expensive, I either could get it back quick with the Ferrari Seasonal, or just not like the car at all.

But Is anyone else thinking about how DLC cars would work ?
 
I use tickets to get expensive cars like the XJ13. I am in a routine right now of buying out the UCD and running a seasonal to get back to 20 million and then doing it again. Boosts my car count and gets me closer to owning all standards.

The pre-order DLC (chromeline/stealth) was automatically put into your garage when you entered the code and downloaded the cars, so you might not need to buy them.


It's always good to keep that much money, though:D

Depends, If it comes in the form of DLC then its your probably going to be paying for the pack on the PS store and the contents added to your profile, but if its in the form of an update cars will probably added to the dealership like in GT5P.
 
you can easily grind out another 20mill in the ferrari S.E...

no sense in saving it

i can easily spend 6 mill a day on the UCD, try that out.
 
Just trade for a few 1966/67/70 tickets and don't bother with the X1, cause you get one if you bronze the Vettel seasonal, which is easy to do, and if you reach level 35, which is also easy to do. Buy any Group C or LMP you see in the UCD or OCD before any DLC comes anyways though, but be warned, the next update will probably be the end of the triple payouts, unless they make a surprise one in the next couple of days for the LSD-FF scenario, I can't see them ending the triple payouts in those circumstances.
 
Ahem - did anyone have to buy their stealth/black/chrome line edition cars?

All the "DLC" that came with games pre-ordered didn't go into the car dealers, why would new DLC?

But seriously anyone with 20M needs to spend some of it at least to make sure money earned is not taxed away.

Best thing to do is keep enough $$$ on hand for the Chaparal's.
 
In forza 2 when I had a 360 I would buy car packs then have to save up for them in the game. I was so pissed, took a little while to save up for my favorite car the CCGT. But I remember it was worth it! But in GT5 so far all dlc cars have been automatically placed in the Garage....so idk.

Now if we get a "everyone's new cars" thing like GT5P on updates, then I would expect them to be in the new dealer.

FYI I wouldn't be expecting anything much, and nothing solid until October at least, much less disappointing with GT games assuming the worst.
 
i have one question since x1's are a hot topic currently
can i lower the x1 down to 700 pp? or 750pp whatever the real world circuit tour pp limit is.
i need cash.

no, use the escudo dirt trial car for it, I spun and still won by a second, some have managed an FGT to...... on topic... those wold be good 5 mil cars to shoot for

Don't bother. Buy an Enzo, run La Festa Cavallino's Circuit de la Sarthe race for 504k every 3:30.
 
ive done it all but im really,really tired of doing the ferrari seasonal. I want to blow my head off 15 minutes in. I do have all the group c's and LMP cars. I just really want a good amount of cash without the pure boringness of blasting an enzo down le sarthe.

The FGT is way easier to drive than the Escudo. I only did Nurb with the Escudo, couldn't stand driving it, whereas the FGT actually becomes a pleasure to drive when it's detuned to 750pp. Easy wins on all circuits.

Back on topic, if you have 20 mill to spend, spend it on something you actually want to drive. As already said, X2010s are easy to come by so unless you want every colour variation, there's not much need to buy one.

Having said that, I bought one myself as I'm only missing a handful of standards so don't need to save the money. I'm also buying Veyrons and FGTs in alternate liveries and duplicates of cars that I have done irreversible tuning on.
