Those of you who saw the ESPN coverage saw a little analyst duel between Stephen A. Smith and Dick Vitale (FoolKiller's least favorite). The bet was on if this year's draft was deeper than 2003(?)'s draft. Well, was this year's draft pretty deep?

I really dislike Stephen A. Smith. Because yelling doesn't make you sound more intelligent, or make your points more correct.

Is this draft deep? Well we'll have to wait a couple months (at least) into the NBA season before we can determine that...

I just read up on this Josh McRoberts who was selected in the 2nd round by the Blazers. The kid looks awesome from what I've seen on youtube.

I hope he'll be a starter for us in the near future.....

I'd say. Then again, I don't know NCAA ball. Only way I can judge these rookies are from the scouting reports and highlight vids. :guilty: Chances of the 07 Draft being as deep as the 03's pretty good, I think. In terms of producing both the star/franchise players to average starter/reserves.

He must be some idiot, because everybody seems to share this view. I don't even know much about him, except for some idiotic comment he made(again), or some kind of flip flop he did. Considering the "no talent a$$ clown" that he is, he must be laughing all the way to the bank!

I actually think Stephen A. Smith can be pretty funny. Seen "Quite Frankly" a few times and even seen him co-host "Pardon the Interruption." He's pretty critical in a number of points.

But as with most commentators, it seems like you can't have a commenting and analysis crew without someone who isn't going to be popular with fans of the sport. Take Mark May with ESPN's College Football coverage. I don't follow NASCAR coverage, so I wouldn't know who the overly critical party would be.

Carry on talking NBA Draft 2007. Oh, and did you notice some of the NBA Live 08 commercials? I've been hearing and reading about how bad "NBA Live 07" is since NBA 07 (2K Sports) been spanking its hiney by game media. Anyhow... carry on.

NBA 07 isn't made by 2k Sports, you're thinking of NBA 2k. NBA 07 is a garbage "simulator" of life in the NBA, with Playstation graphics.

And yes, 2k is far far better than Live.

Isaiah still has his job because he's best buds with the owner. As far as Josh McRoberts I feel like he's bum. I live in ACC country so I've seen him quite a bit. I'm not impressed. He may do better in the NBA but for somebody who supposedly was the guy at Duke he wasn't that good. I would be shocked if he even made the team.

I hear what you are saying. For a Duke star, he was picked 30-something, so that does say a lot about him as a player, right there.

I'm not sure about him doing better in the NBA though. From that video, he seems too slow to be a 3(SF), too weak to be a 4(PF). Like I said, it would be sweet to see him make a starter in the near future, but I'm not holding my breath. He should be pretty fun to watch.

I'm sorry. I meant NBA 2K7. See what happens when you leave a number or a letter out? I meant NBA 2K7 earlier. Carry on discusison of this year's draft.

i just got a chance to watch belinelli play in the summer league and boy can he shooooooooot!
