Well, i posted the thread in the Long Races, but could it be deleted, as hardly anyone goes to the Long Race series forum, and i think it would attract more here.

Ok, my plan is to do a five hour racing series, where you will compete in 5 hours race at each track except for Reverses and Complex String. You will use a timer or a clock and post up each race here. I would like it if this could become a sticky if it gets many competitors, and the races will be announced fortnightly. I think that's all for now, and the first race will be announced on February 1st, 2003.
 
so then we compete for the most laps completed during the 5 hours?

Does everyone use the same car? Or is there no restraint on the cars you can use? Can you do mods? Do you have to make pit stops? Sorry for all the questions but I just wanna know. I probably won't run this series but I may have a change of mind if the details are intriguing and enough people are interested.
 
No, you have a choice of any car below 600 bhp, with any mods as long as the bhp does not exceed 600. No pit stops are required.

I'm not sure on the hp limit....there may be classes if there is enough interest (200-300bhp, 400-500 bhp, 600-700 bhp) With each person to drive rostered in different classes every fortnight.
 
Sounds interesting. If you can list some rules and where we race at (ex. Arcade, begginers leage, Pro leage, etc) I might do it...

OK, well since its all 5 hours each race, all the races are done in Free Run mode, and you must make sure your car is under the hp limit, which will be either 500 or 600 bhp...will anyone care to help me with the decision?
 
If its in free run, why would we do pitstops? Tires dont wear down in free run.

how about everybody has a different car each race so 1 person cant dominate with the one car all the time
...will really test the driver out in all of us

Tell me the car, track, and mode to run 5 hours in. I will tell you how many laps I completed.
 
Ok i will put up two threads. People who don't want to enter can vote, and people who want to enter just say so in either thread. After five days i will see which car and track won and then we will do that. :) Sound okay?

It's done in Free Run, so that's already known :).

Now i just need Bollocks and Earth to submit their chosen car and we can have the deadline two weeks from next Sunday.

how are we gonna time ourselves?
doesnt it (free run) only record individual lap times?

Scrap the Evo race. Oh, one more thing. We don't need to time the laps, just use a clock, or a timer. I'm sure you have a clock somewhere?

...i can feel the Speed 6 making another apperance ;)
glad the Evo is gone, tested it today and just couldnt get a setup i liked
and yes i do have a clock somewhere :D

will probably run it in 1 hour blocks
 
the earliest i can run this race will be next tuesday as im just to busy ATM
could all 3 of us have an extension untill at least then?

So, you're using the Speed Six then? List the parts added, if that's ok. Well, on Friday i will put up my parts for the Ruf RGT. So:
Me - Ruf RGT
Bollocks - Tuscan Speed Six?
