Man, finally, I broke under 1'03.000. it took me like an hour and half an hour! This track is hard! 1 min @ t2... that is crazy.
 
With the car I'm running with now I have 1'02.281. :mad:
I never put any time in this track in the past. Actually the first time I'm running it for a challenge.:O
 
if anyone will give me detailed advice, please do. how the %@^@$!!$E$%@^@^@% do you get your times. :banghead: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Thanks, but your description is vague. Clean and fast? I'd do better with speed. If I could find good racing points, I'd not be whining for help.

What I mean is: Turn soft, turn hard, double tap, brake hard at 115/ lift, exit on left side, stay on right, shift at 3000 rpm, etc.
 
Well, I'm sorry. Insult me all you like, that you hadn't earlier surprised me. I know you tried, but I just wanted to be honest that I can't do much with that. The problem is that I've such diminishing skill that I don't know if anything can help.

Maybe I'll have to see about getting an X-port.

But, yes, I moan, because it gets to me that I can't compete, though I can't go any faster. Even trying to go slower has mixed results.

I should have been more specific when I asked for details.

I'm trying as hard as I can, but it escapes me.

Hey mr. P. Once this round ends, can you make your hotlap into mpeg? Since i don't have a sharkport or xport, i will be apprecaite if i watch this lap, so I can learn more how to drive at this track. :D
 
Sorry mate i dont have the means to make any Mpegs :( i would if i could ;)

I used to get them made by Daan ( very kind guy btw :cool: )

..... but alas i think his interest in GT3 has nearly gone ! if you know anyone else who is Pal that can do it ! i'll be posting the replay and you can pass it on to them :)

I'm also in the 1'00.xxx range at T2. And I can make MPGs.

Giving step by step instructions including shift points and speeds would be very car specific. Especially shift points.

Some cars need to be shifted before redline, others after redline. The hard left after T1 is a 3rd gear corner in some cars, 4th gear in others. Some cars hit 6th gear on the long hilly straight between T1 and T2, others only get to 5th.

Some of these cars are incredibly touchy about gear selection -- if you're not spot on about hitting the optimal shift points and correct gear for each corner, you can lose a lot of time. If you're driving mistake free and carrying good speed through the turns, and still not seeing times competitive with Mr P or myself, work on your shifting.

oh, the hurricane could cause problems, so i really can't say if i can get a time in. today's not a good time for me to practice.

Give this a try today my t2 is 1.02xxx only tried 2 cars at the moment not going to get anything fast out of me this week or the next lot of rounds to say the least:lol:

i do have a specific question that i've just become curious about. in s. mountain, am i doing the wrong thing by staying along the left hand up hill wall after t2?
i turn at 105 and stay along it at 90 or better.

not asking for an alternative, just a simple yes or no.
 
i stay on the left side also 5th gear all the way up that hill :)

I worked on this alot last night, finally made some nice progress with this DS/2 thingy. It's touchy as hell though:irked:

Saw about 5 or 6 T2's of 1.01.8 but my best clean is 1.02.070 for now. It's tough to get all them corners right on the same run. I'm GOING to get a clean run with a 1.01 if it takes me ALL BLOODY WEEK:rolleyes:

P.S. All you cheating wheel drivers can bite me;) I'm not bitter. Really I mean it. I'm not bitter. At least that's what I keep telling myself.:lol: I'm good at making excuses, bad at rally.

So who's going to get a 59' at T2 this week:confused: I know one of you rally junkies can do it.:cool: :)
 
I'm a wheel driver(MOMO) and I ran a 1:01.6xx yesterday:p Not as fast as Mr.P but faster than CFM.:lol: ;)

It's there for the taking i think ! .... but thats a real "AT THE LIMIT" sector from anyone :eek: whoever gets that will be 1st in the results :cool:

I'll try a few more laps tonight see if i can improve my 1.00.4 a wee bit 👍
 
Well, I managed to get down into the 1:01.3's with my wheel. There is still more out there to take off.
 
Got my new wheel tonight so hope i can get a good time in for friday :cool: Let you's know as i go on with the wheel 👍
I've no chance of a 59 that will be impossible for me i only dream of a time like that:drool:
