The A-Team

Any minute? Try starting two weeks ago. It is being produced by Michael Bay.

So how is Bay going to include explosions in that?!

As for the movie, I'm different, I guess. A lot of the stunts are so full of far-fetched-ness, that I just laughed and want to see it even more. While I can understand why Mr. T may not like the violence & sex, he's gonna have to admit that what made the A-Team in the past would kill it today. People crave violence & sex sales. I'm also betting Mr. T is like his co-star and on the inside, is actually just upset because he either has a small cameo or no role at all.

So, yeah, I'm going to see it. Looks like something I'd enjoy. :)

Not at all. He was offered a part and turned it down almost instantly, saying he didn't want to be apart of that crap. I paraphrase, but that's basically what he said and what happened.

Somewhere, George Peppard is cursing this "movie" out like you wouldn't believe.

Yup... Mr. T is Mister wholesome (never caught his cartoon?)... didn't want nothing to do with this, which he correctly foresaw as being just another formulaic blocbuster full of sex and violence.

(Y'know, that's just one of those things that was so bad that I can't even remember any of the character's names (except Mr. T) or any of the episodes... all I remember is the morality lectures Mr. T gave at the end...)

Whoopee... he's going to ruin another 80's franchise? Killing off the Transformers wasn't enough?
He is just producing, right now, so we can hope that his creative input is minimal since he is busy with Transformers 3.

i will not support the film. I was happy when at first i heard it. then i saw the new BA. Not the best choice (i think the black dude from dawn of the dead 2004 would better fit)
The Faceman has a 3 sec guest role, which for me is kind of disrespectful. Mr t didn't want a guest role (wise man)

I watched that show as child. There was absoluty no killing involved. It was cartoonish action, ok. But still had it charm. It was aimed to be family entertainement and had actually a lot of values in it that made part of my principales : loyal, good human beeing, helping poor people.
They have taken the names, the backstory which is slightly changed (vietnam = iraq) and that's it for the similarities.
Killing and boobs.
I think all the fans of the original probably will not like it as much. The newer generations will like it. I don't say anything again Bay, other than saying that he was an idiot kicking of megan of transformers (i surly didn't watched it for guyish shiayiala boeuf (cow in french), but for making shallow action flics, he's good.
(as person he seems to be an ass)

I like visual plastic action flics for entertainment, but if it doesn't mess with the original (i thought the new night rider wasn't that bad, lacked a bit of visual polish but otherwise it was ok, it stayed true to the original)

Mr T cartoon, i slightly remember you fool! (mr T voice)

@Terror. : John Peppard died 16 years ago. He never came clean after the end of A-team, where he was almost forgotten and difted in alcohol. (I was a sad moment when i heard that)

IMO Kimbo Slice would have made a great BA... add 25 lbs. of gold chains and viola!

If I went to see this (which I surely won't) I can guarantee I would only remain in my seat for a total of five minutes before getting up and fingering the movie as I leave the theater.

Might I add Quinton doesn't even have an attitude problem, I mean for god sake "B.A" referred to as "Bad Attitude", and he tries way too hard to look tough.

Ah, the 80's...how so incredibly cheesy.

I miss the 80's and 90's so damn much; the 21st century still sucks...well, you know.

So, who's seen it...

Have you poked an eye out?

Did you hit a baby?

Or, are you alien from another planet and actually found this to be good?

I saw it and loved it. Plenty of action, plenty of humor, and some great acting. I felt that the characters were just about the same as from the show, and the actors did a great job portraying them. Basically the premise of the movie is how the 4 guys ended up working together, how they ended up in prison, and why the government is after them (of course set in modern day).

Oh, and BA still hates flying even though the previews seem to show otherwise. :P

Edit: yes I have seen the TV show. As great as it was, it was just too formulaic.

Having heard all of these terrible things about the film over the past few days, I was pleasantly surprised by it. Really, the plot isn't all that interesting, but it is a decent take on a "modern" A-Team. Some of the acting falls flat, especially from the secondary characters, but everyone on the team did a pretty good job. Especially Copley (the dude from District 9) who does a pretty awesome version of Murdoch. Hell, even Rampage Jackson did a decent job. There are a lot of moments in there that really impressed me, with multiple "clever" jokes and so on that had me losing it in the theater.

I'd say its worth the $8 to go and see, I had a blast watching it.

Does Biel do a sexytime scene? That's probably worth a couple bucks.

I'm certainly not holding my breath for this. I think I can wait to check this out on dvd.

"Benedict spoke of regretting his cameo, stating "You'll miss me if you blink. I kind of regret doing it because it's a non-part. They wanted to be able to say, 'Oh yeah, the original cast are in it,' but we're not. It is three seconds. It's kind of insulting."

Just saw it & thought it was great. Nothing ground breaking, but nowhere as bad as people here make it out to be. And whatever reviewer said it was full of sex & violence was retarded. There was hardly any sort of sex, just a few glimpses that Face was a player.

The movie itself is full of action, has some great lines, BA & Murdoch poking fun at each other. Has a nice little twist in the plot, nothing too complicated. Would see again.

went to the movies tonight with friends who wanted to see this movie.they were bragging me to go with...

this movie sucks bad
waste of 8€

i mean it's not that bad as a action movie, but it has absolutly nothing to do with the series. and it would have been achievable to do that scenerio from the movie with the concept of the series
action is cool, utterly over the top and ultra nonrealistic (see spoiler), they even defy standard physics, but absolutly nothing to do with the series which is a sad part because i think if they would have kept to the series, the movie had been a succes.

How the heck can one bazooka sink a fraitor and let containers fly. ???

And yeah old Face i missed you i don't know why. Shame on the producer team
