here is some exciting news! Pink_the_Floyd, the leader of the prestigious Team Toyota has said he is interested in this series after I PMed him about it. And he said, if he's not too busy, that's he'll join and participate. Now let's hope he brings all of his team members!

ok, this thread has been dead for some days, so i thought i'd just revive it by saying that instead of now signing up drivers, i am going to run it like the NRS and let anyone run, so if you want to do an event, just run the hotlap and two races and then send them, ok?

from now on, if you do want to do this just say you're interested and I'll put you on the Interest list.

Is it too late to sign up? When's it all kick off?

I need some more information:

Firstly, why two races? What's the point in that?
Secondly, how many laps in each the race?
And, what about OLR rules? Can we 'nudge' our competitors?
 
hey chris

1) no, it's not too late. Although, you aren't signing up any more, you're just expressing interest, but if you can commit to all the events, then that's great.
2) I have a poll running to find out which track the drivers want to go to first. When the poll finishes (March 7th i think) I will put up a calender in here and straight after that put up the first event thread
3) I thought two races might be fun, but if not, i can do just one race per event
4) I'm looking to run about a 10-15 minute race at each event, so the number of laps will be announced at each event.
5) Standard OLR rules apply. You are allowed to make contact with your AI opponents, but under no circumstances must it be either advantageous or on purpose. I would advise that you make your race or races as clean as possible.

I will have to sit out Round 1, as I will be in Annapolis, Maryland for a Robotics competition.

Then we run an arcade race as fast as we can, then submit that?

What's the point in two races?

Do we have to submit the first two races we do, or can we race over and over until we don't think we can go any faster?

And do we submit times by PM or just here in this thread?
