I was racing a 39 lapper at HSR in Arcade mode (in a Toyota GT-One, difficulty +10), and a black 92CP pops up in the opponent list. Me thinks, surely the black LMP's must be somewhere (hidden, most likely) in Arcade mode after seeing this. Because, if the AI can use it, we ought to be able too? đź’ˇ

I have. I guess they make a rare appearnce, the first time I saw a black LMP car (I think the R92CP), I didn't mind it much (or bother to take a screenshot for proof), didn't really care much then, maybe I will a bit more now.

I'm not sure if they can be unlocked in Arcade mode, it seams so far in GT as when you acquire them in GT mode, in Arcade mode there in their usuall colors. Then again maybe someone else knows better. And the next time I see a black LMP car in Arcade, I'll take a screenshot of it and maybe show it as proof.

That's all I can figure to say for now.

Till later.

the four black cars i don't have in sim mode in the normal colors. i sold the ones i received. i am unable to use them in arcade mode in black, and that was a big problem for me when i got them. i've since come to terms with it however. now i will attempt to recreate your race until one happens to show up.

Mind letting is on your little secret....how did you manage this awesome shot?

They appear in any arcade races where the AI chooses group C, LMP and GT-1 class cars. They also show up in the Family cup races too.

Black cars:

Toyota GT-ONE
Nissan 92
Mazda 787
Some other nissan.

They appear around day 700 in the used car lots.

Edit: (buy them).

On my version(U.S.) the prices range from 1.2 million to 2.2 million.

Old news. Sorry to burst your bubble.

There have been numerous spottings of the R92CP racing as the black version (and the ocasional GT-ONE,that I have encountered).

Yeah?

Search = nothing relevant. So, old news?

(not to sound mean or anyting)

Yeah. Let's not talk about the search engine. I think they took it from a Subaru 360. Every 100 weeks, in the used car lot. I'm saving for them now. :)

Can't you select the cars from your garage in a single race in arcade mode? You can in a two player race by selecting the 1 or 2 button (for memory slots, I assume) at the top of your screen when asked to select a car. I haven't tried it in arcade mode because I just never race in arcade mode. But I am sure it's been discussed before and it is possible to use garage cars in single player arcade mode.

Also, the black beauties aren't as powerful as new ones because they are high mileage. I've seen them three times now (i am on day 2215 or something) and they have yet to appear as low mileage cars, which is a shame. When the AI use them, though, they might well have low mileage examples.

EDIT: ah I just did a search and found this answer to my question:

Seems you can't use your garage cars in single player arcade mode after all.

Wow....nobody knew this!

Where do you get your information? It's splendid!

thanks for the info, Captain Obvious :)

No one needs such obvious flaming on any forum. If you'd supplied some other reason to post a reply, such as more information, you wouldn't have wasted everyone's time and money and bandwidth with such an ugly post.

Personally, I think it's pretty cool that the AI uses the black cars. I don't have any quite yet since I'm just under 500 days in the game, but I can guarantee you that I'll be saving my money and racing the DTM to buy those black cars. Even if they are lower-powered versions, it's kinda like the R390 road car to the race version: duh it's gonna be a little weaker but it's still a pretty sweet looking car.

Easy there, kid; if you don't have anything nice or informative to say, don't waste our bandwidth.

I love how people mask thier own ignorance with name calling, especially when they just learned something.
