ive flowen the dodo, Shamel, Rustler, Stuntplane, Seasparrow, Hunter, Nevada, Maverick. I think the Shamel flyes very nicely and the DoDo is ok.

I might go and check out this AT 400
 
Outside of the Pilot School, I've flown the Shamal, Stunt Plane, AT-400 (Mission), and that War-Plane thing. Choppers I've flown are the Sea Sparrow and Leviathon. I haven't really concentrated on flying. There's so much in the game to experience.

There's a whole series of time trials you can do with different choppers and planes. I've tried a couple of them so far.

I thought you could only take the plane to the cities, like a train?

It says you're not allowed to drive it, in the guide... O_o

Nope, go and stand infront of the hanger and the doors will lower to the AT-400 available for you to fly. What does a guide know?

Has anyone tried landing the AT-400 on the airport that you you can buy. I tried to fit it in my hanger but its too big

Yes I have tried landing it. I overshot it but still tried to land it and I stopped a few feet away from the highway half a mile away from your airstrip. Then that's also where I learned you cant get back in the thing for it's heighth. I had lowest health and eventually got ran over because people were dumb drivers.

There is one in Los Santos Airport and alot in LV airport.
 
I haven't done that mission yet but i've seen a screen from a trailer of CJ jumping out of the back of the AT-400. Unless that was a different big plane that infact you cannot fly again. I believe the AT-400 does not have bay doors in the rear. Therefore it might be a different plane you are refering to.

Yeah I found one last night. Fun to fly. I also flew the Beagle. That's cool. Still, nothing beats the War Plane.

A question: do you need to have the main story missions to be able to fly the AT-400? I couldn't find it at LV Airport.
 
I don't think you need to be the story missions. When I first found it I wasn't done. Sometimes it won't be inside the hanger. Just drive around the airport for a while and come back and it should be there.
 
Eh it's not hard. It's in the corner of the LV airport. It's all alone and it's huge. When you go right infront of it the doors will lower. The hanger is infront of a bunch of colored crates. I can't show you a picture because even on this computer it won't upload images. If anyone else that found it can they show where it is on the map?

For it not spawning, keep in mind I do have a pilot's license.
 
Was it like right next to the end of the runway? If so you may need a pilot's license.
 
It's at the left (of the entrance gate) (south, I guess) end of the LV airport. It's the only building where the door faces north, that makes it easier to find. When landing on the long runway, with the short runway on your right, the hanger will be on your left at the end of teh runway.
 
Found it this morning. Took me bout 3 minutes just to pull out. That thing barely fits in the hangar.

I did land it! Yay!

Ok, not really. Landed it at SF. I overshot it. I landed and was going to fast. I ended up flying off the runway and into the water.

Makes a big splash!

Yeah it's almost impossible to overshoot it. Now all I ask for is a side mission of flying to places. Like a pilot.

Have you tried barrel rolling it?
 
No but i'm sure it'd take awhile. Just be sure to be at a high altitude.
 
I did it. Takes quite a while to actually do it.

Funniest thing to try. Get the Hydra on you. That Hydra nearly exploded when it flew under me. :)
 
I thought it was a myth that it was a Hydra chasing you. I wish I could fly the Hydra.:(
 
Yes I know it is unlockable. I just thought it was a myth that it was chasing you. I thought it were just SAMs. How do you unlock it?
 
Well, unless SAMS are jets too, then its a Hydra. Its the only jet type thing that I've nearly gone head into. :scared:
