Hey guys, I saw the Christain thread, and kinda fealt left out, so i decided to start an atheist club! Here we can talk about how we think there is no god (in our opinion of course). Lets have a good time have speek out opinions, it would be kinda fun if the christains came in and we had a little debate! 💡 👍

Lets see how long this thread

A) stays in the rumple strip
B) stays open all together
C) turns into flame war.

Im just gonna sit back and watch.

I think religions are a little too controlling and force you to belive it in its entirety.
I think there is a supreme being.
I live my life and be as positive and helpful as i can, thats how i think he/she would like us to behave, and based on many peoples morals its the right way to act anywho.

I belive there is no higher power. If so, why would there be so many terrible things going around. Unless god is a sick dude who laughs at us all as we kill eachother.

Some would argue that because the Higher power gave people the freedom of choice, that's why we see so many bad things happen.

It's alright to be atheist - but I don't think you should make a 'club' or list of people. Makes you out to be elitest.

My take on that is, since Adam & Eve were kicked out of Eden, we've left God and been on our own. We have freedom of choice, like MrktMkr noted, but no help from God. I'm no expert though, it's just my opinion.

Also, I agree with Taurine. I don't think we need an list of religious/non-religious. I think it's going to end up dividing our community.

This will in no means divide our communtiy, the only people it will work up are hardcore dudes, who take things they read on the interent personally, and or cant accepts peoples opoins/choices.

We happen to have quite a few of them though.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I've read many of your posts(you're on my list of the "cool" guys 👍 ), and members like us won't be affected, but I just hate seeing some guys go overboard on this issue.

thats what makes these threads so funny to read,

Yes but it also makes it hard to read because there has to be some idiot fighting over a moot point and some moderator threatening to ban the opposing sides.

Although quite a few of those types of members get a lot of lee-way from the mods..

Thanks :sly:

I dont think there are too many long term members who will react harshly or go overboard.

Its not as though i enjoy reading people go overboard, but half the time the types of people who do it are quite silly and their posts have very little to back them up.

I'll register my support for the Atheist club. I don't think Nick Johnston was trying to be elitist, I think he was just trying to crate a place for people of the same ideology to come together and express their opinions. It's kinda like GTP in a way. Forza fans can still come on and register their opinions.

As for me, the most difficult questions I have about the existence of god are:

1) Evolution ( don't buy the intelligent creation theory or whatever you want to call it)

2) It is much easier to prove a positive than a negative (I can prove I went to the store today because I have a reciept - Try proving that you DIDN'T go to the store, it's much harder) yet there is no proof of god.

3) The big bang

4) psychological theories that tend to show that god is an attempt to immortalize ourselves and our parents, due to the fear that life will end.

So, does anyone have a better reason? Anyone have a story about their family not accepting their decision? What has been the hardest part about your life as an atheist.

Edit: wow, a lot happened while I was typing this.

I'm in:)

I don't believe in God.I believe there is a rational scientific explanation for everything.

Nick, not a good idea. All of these religion threads are bad news. I suggest not to list people, as like Taurine said, it's a sure way of dividing the GTP community, which is something Jordan definitely does not want.

This thread should also be in the Opinions Forum. So should the other thread.

I would like to beleive there is god, but until now, I'm not quite convinced. But I do beleive to a certain extent reincarnation and karma.

No matter what, 'be good, do good' 👍

No point beleiving in god when you go around killing people........

Closed.

The Fellowship of Christian racers is a thread dedicated to assembling christian racers who wish to race under one heading.

This thread looks like it was started simply to have a thread opposing the christian view point. If you want to argue or debate religion (any religion, and yes, satanism is a religion) do it in the opinion forum, in a respectful and clear manner.

If you wish to assemble a group of racers under an Athiest religion, I suggest you do it in the teams forum. And actually race.

If you want to start an atheist club, you need to do that in the forums. and keep it on topic.
