Alright - My dad is looking to trade in/sell his 2001 Nissan Quest for a new minivan. Now - we had 2 Quests so far - but don't think we are fond of it. We just happened to got very nice offers on both of them.

We had a 1995 and 2001 Quest.

Now we are looking for a new minivan to replace our current one. Of course we are looking at the big three Japanese manufacters.

Nissan Quest
Toyota Sienna
Honda Odyssey (the 2005 model had a recall - because the airbag might not deploy correctly... :nervous: Hopefully they fixed it in the 2006 model.)

All the newest model of course.

Now if you have any suggestion - you can name them - we will take it into consideration.

We want to know which is the best for overall usage. We want the ability to hold a lot of cargo - and performance doesn't really matter. Although we would rather have a strong engine output to give it a little boost.

We also want power windows - on the 2nd row. With our Nissan Quests - both had problems with the 2nd row windows. They would fly open and/or make noises all the time.

Any suggestion would be great. And if you had to choose between the three - which would you choose?

It cannot be that expensive - we are looking to buy a Minivan in the $27,000 area AT MOST.

We prefer around $25,000. (which we got the 2005 Honda Odyssey down to in an Atlanta dealership - the reason we did not purchase it - is because they forgot to add the destination charge and my father refuse to pay it, because they settled on a out-of-the-door price. Later the next day - they called and said alright. But ATL was a 2 hour drive - so we just forgot about that and bought the slightly used Quest.)

Anyways - we want a minivan that has a lot of standard features. I'm waiting for M5Power's post - he's the best when it comes to stuff like this. *yawn*

The Honda pretty much owns all ! The nissan is actually pretty fun to drive ( for a minivan ) and the interior looks so damn cool, BUT the honda has a great engine, amazing track record for reliability. The toyota is more..um, blah

I'm leaning toward the Honda as well. My father has no problem bargaining with Honda dealerships - but Toyota on the other hand. Wow. He hates them - he complains about how they won't go down as much as Honda or Nissan. And quite frankly - it seems true. We got the Honda Odyssey to go down a lot from the sticker price - no way can we get it that low with the Toyota Sienna - at least now from the last time we tried.

I'm open to suggestion though and other's opinion on this matter.

I'm partial to the Honda myself. FWIW, my sister in law has a first gen Odessey that's got more miles on it than Pam Anderson, and it hasn't cost her a dime in unexpected repairs.

Though I may be the wrong person to take minivan advice from. When faced with the decision to get a minivan or an SUV, I opted for the latter.

You're always different. Mazda MPV - what's the pros and cons of it? I will look it up later I guess...

Nobody likes it probably because of the weak power but C'mon it's a ****ing minivan. :dopey: I think it's cool. here

My parents have an MPV as a workhorse/runabout car.

It sucks the living soul right out of you.

And I usually love Mazdas.
