This would not be very hard to better mate :/ And my advice is try CH tyres and a torque distributor to let you spin the rear tyres more... 👍

good advice but i wasnt the one who did the drifts...lol
I'd be happy to see a drift that can better this as this is the best one ive seen recently

even though i do play the game alot, would CH tyres improve the lap time?

Lol easy guns, and Stuntman if you would want to improve the lap time you should not be drifting at all...

Since when was drifting about lap times? It's not a race, and am I right in thinking that thing is AWD?

As far as impressions go I reckon the average 8 year old could pull off those power slides (I saw no drifting).

So many ill-informed people, it makes me feel bad for the GT5 community.

I don´t know if the Aventador is the best drifting car, but "Weird Al" Yankovic is the best sing ever, hands down.

I just heard Amish Paradise the other day lol... legendary song!!

woah woah woah! easy guys, this isn't my video, so no need to get on the defensive.

with regards to the videos that i have been shown, its easy to know the following:

1. they were cars specifically designed to drift in them drift races

2. because it was synchronised drifting it made it more appealing to the eye

3.the video of the aventador was a short snip from an actual lap (and if anyone thinks they can go faster in an aventador around the same track then i'd like to see you try)

4. Who says drifting "always" slows u down?? what a sill remark! in fact drifting can sometimes make you go through corners and exit them quicker.

NOW HERE COMES THE OPEN CHALLENGE:

PLEASE PROVIDE ME A VIDEO OR FOOTAGE FROM GT5 THAT SHOWS A CAR NOT DESIGNED FOR DRIFTING, ON A NORMAL RACETRACK, THAT TAKES A HAIR PIN IN THE SAME MANNER????

UNTIL SOMEONE CAN PROVIDE ME OF FOOTAGE WHEREBY THE ABOVE HAPPENS THEN UNFORTUNATELY YOUR CLAIMS ARE NOT SUBSTANTIATED!

BTW, you are watching the 2nd drift right??

ALSO, look at the uploaders top gear challenges and if you can compete with his times then maybe your claims will carry more weight! :)

as it is apparent that the uploader is more than a drifter but an overall complete driver.

:)

anyway, stop hating and provide me footage of a normal car not designed for drifting, on a normal lap, taking a similiar bend in the same manner??

cheers guys :)

cant wait to see the videos you show me now :)

You must not watch a lot of drifting then. Check some of the videos in here.

Yea, your right because I dont just watch guys skid cars on bold tires, id rather see a fast lap like this uploaders around the top gear track, I thought the GT5 community would be more supportive of their own kind as he is a modest guy and id also say a good driver for those he think hes not a good driver go and beat his top gear times please, looking forward to your laps guys

First of all, he's not "our kind". If you think using an AWD to slide around corners is drifting, your sadly mistaken.

Secondly, nobody in this section cares how fast he can go around top gear. This is the drifting section, not racing.

ok i think youve missed my point. My point was that yeh it may be easy to drift/powerslide using a car designed for drifting on a track that accommodates drifts. However i would like to see those who are good at drifitng maybe try drifitng a car not designed for drifitng on a track that doesnt accommodate for drifitng and then we can see the true class of the driver! :)

I think you've come to the wrong place then, my friend. I doubt you'll find what you're looking for here.

EDIT: Btw, sick double post dude.

You got it the wrong way. What you see in our drift video section IS true class of real drifters
This guy in the aventador just throws the car sideways and forces it not to spin with massive understeer and front wheel force.
I'm sure, no I KNOW that he tried it 10 times atleast till he was able to luckily hit the line barely and pull this blind powerslide.

That's not car control

youre right guys, after seeing the drifts youve shown me, they are truly wonderful and a class act! were these done with the wheel or controller? as i find them very hard to do with a controller??

the only reson why i admired the aventador drift was due to the fact that the drift was part of a fast lap.

any tips on how to drift in unison??

From what I have seen this guy is a really good driver, dont think hes into drifting to much

Well first of all learn to drift on comfort hards, as that is the default tire that any good drifter in this community uses, and you'll find most drifting teams use only that tire, not to mention any competition will restrict it to CH for fairness.

Learn to link corners and get a feel for how different settings effect your drift, only then can you think about tandeming (drifting with another car, or in a train).

Have you seen any of his other videos? he does show some good control and manages to beat the stigs times using stock cars, I think you guys may be a little harsh on him, I would say he is better than the average driver.

We are talking about essential drifting here

What if I wanted to drift with Hard Sports tires as they are stock on the super cars, in the video he drifts with Racing Soft but I think that is down to him wanting a fast lap.

Aren't HC tires the easiest to drift in but would produce slower lap times? I know its a drifting forum but I still like the fast laps aswell lol

Dude... you gotta get it out of your head that drifting has anything to do with lap times, a lot of the time people just tandem on 2 or 3 specific corners. If you're worried about lap times, go do some grip racing.

If you want to drift, comfort hards are the way to go, and no they're not the easiest, yes using them may be the easiest way to get the car sideways but that's nothing unless you can work the throttle and know what gear you should be in to link those corners smoothly without catching grip.

High-powered "Sports/super cars" come with sports tires because they are designed for racing and you need the extra grip to hold down that power without loosing traction. A regular car comes with tires equivalent of comforts.

You can learn with sports hard if you really want but as I found out when I was a learner, if you want to tandem with other good drifters you will have to learn to use comfort hards, and if you've only been using sports hards it will be a shock to you. SH are very sticky compared to CH, I wouldn't advise learning on them.

Thanks for the tips mate, ive not really tried it yet so ill practise with CH, I like quick lap times because I like to beat my friends in lap times and races and now drifting lol, thats why I keep talking about quick laps I want to mix that uploaders speed with your drifts but it sounds really hard.

You beat your friends at drifting by holding a very high angle consistantly through a corner on the best line for the corner.
