Well, since we had the worst turn, how about the best one? You know, that turn or series of turns where, if you can nail them right, you sail out of them leaving the AIs to pick each other's noses? For me it's the two left turns after the tunnel in Deep Forest. The gear indicator says 3, but you can take them at 4 or even 5 if you time it right!

Apricot hill 1 and 2, the big long 180 degree turn. You can take it flat out at 175+ mph in a F094/s when you hit it just right. At full song its either a hit your mark or go in to early and into the gravel or to late and flying off the track on the exit. When you nail that corner perfect its a great feeling.

On the Tokyo track, there is a long stretch with a slight kink, which you hit flat out, then a widish right hander which leads onto another right hander. Time it right, and you can do it in one turn, and almost graze the left hand wall on the final turn. It's awesome when you nail it.

The high speed downhill/uphill (normal/reverse) corner at Deep Forest. It's turn 3 if you are doing the reverse route.

The last turn on Rome II in a poly01. I'm sure it shouldn't stick flat out but it does. Great sense of speed as you go through it.

Turn 2 when on deep forest....going through the cave....and the 3 turns after that, smoke like they weren't even racing

Try a search for "best turn" or "favorite turn" in the subject line, and see what comes up...

I just thought it would be nice to refresh certain threads without simply continuing ones that have already reached 4 or 5 pages of posts; that's a lot of info to read just to see where the thread is going and what - if any - topics it has drifted to conversing about...

I AGREE!

I am a novice drifter, and hitting that perfect for the first time was the best feeling. I've still never done that corner as good as I did that one single time. Best part is, that was totally stock and I didn't use the ebrake. Just throttle control and that one bit of braking. The moment was bliss.

Hey Travi D, That series of turns is awesome and I would agree with you. Definately my top sequence there 👍
My other fave turn would be the exit from the long, tree lined tunnel in Deep Forest 1. Driving at breakneck speeds, braking slightly followed up by a lovely drift turn. And if that's not all the quick right to left slalom(if carried out correctly) you can exit that and leave the others tasting exhaust.

The last corner from Deep Forest 1 for sure. It was the corner that i spended more time to learn how to do it without getting the finger of the trothle. And all the others corners from this track, it´s so fast all the time

The turn at the end of the back straight on Trial Mountain. It's a lovely hairpin I love driving through over and over, grip OR drift, don't matter.

In Cote... the swimming pool area with the F094/S. Entrance is easy and you carry a lot of speed with you. Usually taken at 4th then you climb up all the way to 6th through the fast chicane... then hammering down on the brakes to get down to 2nd to enter the final chicane exiting the complex. If timed right... you can hit the exit at 4th gear... reaching near max revs in 5th before braking hard for the hairpin.
Brake timing is crucial... as well as grip. If you brake at an angle the rear end of the car will slide out and you'll drift too far. Brake too early and you'll probably hit the wall. Or worse... you'll think you've got it... but then you end up hugging the kurb to the right, which just sucks your car straight into the wall.
The last turn before the start/finish straight is quite exciting to get right, too. Taking it fast and making it through safely will almost always mean you'll get very near the right hand barrier at the entrance to the turn.

Most of SSR5's corners are fast and it's great going through them at high speeds. Specially the last set of corners before the big left-right sweep to the start/finish straight.

The Seattle course, at the pit entrance, ending at the start/finish line. The best spot to overtake the AI.

Good answer. JW31 is a true racer. 👍
You think an answer to the question "what's your favourite turn in the game" that consists of simply "just any turns" is a good one? Sheesh! Way to shut down a thread with your lack of an interesting comment, JW31. When someone asks you what your favourite food is, do you tell them "just anything I can put into my mouth"? Or your favourite car in GT3? Would your answer then be, "just anything I can drive?"

Shame on you 98cobra for supporting this kind of waste-of-space-and-time posting!

Hmmm, my favorite turn would have to be, the first chicanes on SSR5 or the last turns of GVS and Rome.

The AI sucks you can cane them anywhere :p
But I think the last turn on Midfield, going under the bridge, (Going the right way) is where you can scream past them. they just dont attack the corner enough!

Definitely the 'middle' of Seattle. After you go up the hill and make two 90 degree rights, the section of 'kinks' that follow are awesome. It requires superb control to negotiate each turn setting up for the next one.

Also, in Complex String, the up/down slalom rollercoaster. If you get that right, you go ripping around the apexes pulling lots of Gs, then float over the hilltops between the corners, at full throttle the whole way through.

And in rally, I'm rather fond of the turns following the last hairpin at Tahiti (not maze). Flat-out, high speed drifting down the back of the course is always fun.
