The blindfolded challenge also known as Tuscan Night Race, Grand Tour!

Does anyone have a good setup for the lambo, in this challenge?

I know it has god racing medium tires, but whatever i do, the car still spins like crazy by the slightest acceleration..

I have completed the rest of the grand tour with all golds execpt for this. I have finished as 2nd, but still have +secs to the F430 in front..

Please help.. Any tips for this one is appreciated:)

Well ... unfortunately ... first you have to know the track. If you know it ... then I don't see a problem with golding that just because you will react quicker then your eyes can take you.
Your mind is faster then the speed of light. :dopey:
I've run it without some actual setup.
Also. Generally. Buy some suspension or install a rear wing. If you spin the wing will give you more downforce = more traction. 💡

Irs a special event, so you cant just go buy a wing 💡

The only way to do this is have it learned to drive with the eyes almost "closed". Turn on the driving line, have a few goes to learn the accession of turns in the race and then... hit it.

The trick, just like f1webberfan said, is to learn the track.
Makes it a lot easier.

It also helps to turn your tv brightness up ;)

The Blindfold Challenge is truly Nascars on the Nurburgring Nordschleife with no driving line, in the night and in the rain.

I'm in the process of revisiting this challenge. The best I got was 2nd, about 8sec. behind the F430. I find it really annoying that the rear of the car steps to the left bigtime evertime I brake. I was on ABS1, but I just turned it up to 5 and it's still doing it. Never mind the crazy snap oversteer if you don't drive it like a little girl. If Lambos handle like this in real life, I'd never buy one.

I really didn't find it that bad... just look out for road markings, signs, barriers, etc. You have to react quick, but that's just part of it.

yeah and when you react quick, the car bites back. I'm not discouraged yet, I'll just keep working at it.

At the long high speed straight, when you take that mild left curve that immediately follows you to start braking hard... keep one foot on the gas, and one foot on the brake, to maintain car stability. There are a couple of corners like this. I love this event, it rewards you when practised enough times, unlike some other events in the game.

I'm still working on it, I've gotten down to 5-6sec. behind, but I crash and restart far more often than I finish. Are there any videos of the updated track? All the ones I've found are for the old track. I sure would love to see the sector times to see where I have to improve!

I have the replay at home, I'll bring it here tomorrow, .zip

Actually, I feel like the Lambo gains more grip when you put your foot down, so when you start to spin out, just give it a little throttle, not all the way though.

Just remember that the Skid Recovery Force is turned on for this challenge. So, you have to forget this is a simulation game and face it like an arcade game. Learn the track make the car slide on corners as much as possible. Turn in, slam the brakes, control the slide and repeat. That's how I golded this challenge.

On the first time gate aim for 18.6xx seconds behind.

The second Gate you should be no more than 10.5 seconds behind. At least I think it's the second. It's the one you pass through as you hit the straight.

You should pass the F40 before the next time gate which should be around 7 seconds flat. It's possible to get late 6's. I found that getting around the F40 while breaking like crazy, trying not to spin, and tackling the bend at the same time to be the hardest part of the race.

When in second, the final time gate should be no more than 3.4xx seconds behind. At least for me.

For this challenge I found you need to keep your wheels off the dirt. If you clip or cut a corner, you'll lose grip. It might not cost you time straight off, but on the next bend you'll slide further and it'll take longer to get traction back.

It's tempting to just throw the car around corners because it's easy to slide, but all the wheel spin is costing you. I found that slowing down, breaking hard to get the nose where you want it, and then ease of the break and onto the accelerator. You need to slide, but keep it to a minimum. You'll find that although you seem to be taking the bends slower, you're actually making better time and able to control your lines better.

I also raced with TC off and ABS 1.

turning up ABS wont help all that helps in is preventing the breaks from locking up
TCS is what is used to stop oversteer like that

I'm not far off you for the first segments. I can manage 18.6, even 18.3 sometimes in the first interval, and I get to about 11 to 11.5 for the one before the straight. I've noticed that driving clean is a little faster, even if it seems much slower. Towards the end, I still need work apparently. That's what happens when you restart all the time, you get to know the start of the track, but not the end!

Sorry to bump a dead topic but I just got gold on this using the following settings
TV: Max Brightness (does create glare)
aids: TCS off
ACS: Mild
SRF: On (think its mandatory on though).
ABS: 10
Sensitivity: 7.

Ran really fast up to the straight honestly and here are my approximate split times:
Trap 1: +18.871
Trap 2: +13.855
Trap 3: + 10.155
Trap 4: +9.354
Trap 5: +7.443
Trap 6: +2.824
Finish: -0.450

Ran a mid 2:49 for the course.

Thanks! I was thinking of taking another crack at this this weekend, this info will be very helpful.
