There is a thread called "hating the graphics of gt6", in short there are two kind of players, one says that gt6 is blurred, looking worse than gt5, and one that says the opposite. The first are the visionaires, the latter will be called fanboys.
Just to specify, I'm part of fanboys.
Yesterday I went by my dealer, to deliver a bit of used games, he has a ps3 in storethat was running gt6, and I can see for the first time in my life... BLUR EVERYWHERE!
I was very impressed, because it's a huge difference compared to the game that run on my ps3, it's not only the blur, but also the texture quality are very poor.
First of all i checked tv's and ps3's settings, and all seems to be ok, this has nothing to do whit sharpness or other settings on tv or on the game, it's simply the game itself. It run with different graphics settings on different systems for unknown reasons at the moment. Therefore both the visionaries and the fanboys are right, I can assure gt6 on my system look stunning without a shred of blur and good textures, better than gt5.
It remains only to understand this situation, I feel sorry for those affected, try to ask to kazunory.

GT6 looks better than GT5, yet it has a lot of problems with the shadows (because of the HDR) and anti-aliasing.

Textures looks the same and the old tracks are the worst looking but the new ones (Spa, Nürburgring, Willow, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Apricot Hill remake) looks amazing...of course with all the problems stated above.

For those that say "the game looks dark" and such, the simple solution I found was to adjust the brightness in the game (not in the TV) to +0.6. (same for photomode in circuits like Nürburgring)

As an example these pictures (mine):

Normal/default Brightness:

I play in a 47" FullHD TV using HDMI. I know that those pictures shows the game fully filtered but you can notice how the default brightness also makes the game look a little bit worse.

The only circuit that looks good with default brightness is Willow Springs. Though if you put weather to 25%+ (clouds) it looks darker than it should.

About the motion blur...while racing I see no motion blur at all, motion blur is in replays only as far as I can tell. Yet I play on PC and always deactivate it in racing games and shooters.

The problem isn't with the game, its the human condition. That is, we interpret the world based on our own idea of how it should be. You can't fix that with a patch (or brightness control) unfortunately, so the problem will likely remain.

"I think its looks good"
"You're wrong, it looks rubbish"
"You're both wrong because you're observing the phenomenon thereby changing its outcome"

My advice would be to stop being human and choose something without pre-conceived ideas like, say, a Possum. Or an owl since they have good visual acuity. 👍

Was the game running at 720p or 1080p? Was it a 1080p compatible HDTV? The game looks noticeably worse at 720p.

It's not "sense" related, it's real, someone have blur in game, now I have seen with my eyes, the game run showing different graphics effect and performance on different ps3 systems.

Yes 1080p, the tv was an old lg lcd, not very impressive tv, but the difference is too high compared to my old sony bravia lcd, and the blur was present, absent on my system. The only thing that make me think, is hd space, i have 320 gb. Can be that the game can't stream high resolution texture on ps3s with low hd space and apply the blur effect... may be
