Probably disappear to some 'Christmas Land' where everyday it's Christmas.

I suspect some of these people do the ligt displays on matrix boards e.e the Times Square, London and Tokyo for some examples.

When Christmas light wars happen, people trying to put more on there house then the other houses. Its like some kind of War of the Worlds, but based around houses fighting to get more Christmas lights on there house.

Then the other houses lol. They could call it War of the Lights or War of the Christmas Lights lol.

I wonder if this is some new "fad". Its becoming a little popular as I've heard about different houses in the area, one here in Plano.

I'd like to see those lights hooked up to a different song...Like AC DC or something.

Saw the one on Ellen (don't ask) the other day. The first seems a bit more choreographed (sp?) but the second one is alot more entertaining, in my opinion.

There's a guy who does that locally here in the Louisville area. He has a gravel lot next to his house where people can sit without blocking traffic.

I would hate to work out the logistics on that system.

Stupidass Miller Lite stole the trans-siberian orchestra video and made it into a commercial. I mean, what the hell does it have to do with miller lite, anyway?

every year i feel the need to bring this back up for the members who may not have seen the awesomeness of the sync lights!!

I wonder how much sweet talking I'd have to do to get my wife to OK the THX Christmas lights...

A local church a block over from my house is doing this stuff right now. It cycles through ten minutes worth of music, including a small bit where the pastor tells the story of Christmas and the nativity set lights up and the star above it flickers to his voice. The rest of the show is fairly secular stuff like Frosty and Rudolph.

The bonus here is they did it on the side where their parking lot is so that no one is blocking the street to watch. 👍

Downtown Rochester, MI where I work covers every building in lights for the xmas season. Our store always does something outlandish as well, this year we have Santa and his reindeer on top of our store and spanning across to four others.

This is a couple years back but the store with the blue lights and the deer on top is where I work.

I like it. 👍 From the website it looks like this is the third year they've done this?

Yup, third year and every year it gets bigger. It's a huge draw for the businesses downtown.

As cool as that is, that guy is obviously just using that Christmas setup to blast loud techno music. Seriously, this idea was pretty neat with Christmas or at least, Christmas-like music, but now everyone adds everything from techno to classic rock. It just doesn't have the same charm....
