Mmm very nice Millie, I once went for a ride in a black 993 Turbo, god that thing was sexy. Unfortunately I was so small back then I couldn't really see above the dashboard and therefore couldn't see how fast we were going.

Cars I drove
1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (personal car)
1999 Ford Expediton Eddie Bauer
1994 Ford F150 Eddie Bauer

Car I Rode
2003 Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 50th Annversary Edition w/ MRC
1991 Honda CRX SiR (JDM) has right-hand drive.

I've had a short driver's experience life. The only car that's not the normal family cars I have ever driven is the car I learned to drive stick on, it was a real hack. A 1990 Honda Accord sedan with the suspension, brakes, wheels and tires, seats, tranny and motor from a 2000 Prelude. I was still kind of rough so i didnt drive it all that hard, but it did understeer a ton. The torque made CD deck fly out onto the handbrake every time you went hard on the gas.

I also drove a 2001 C230 sedan for an afternoon. It wasn't ideal conditions, so I didn't get the full effect. For the onramps and accel stuff like that, I really wasn't impressed. It was quick in the mid range, say 75k/h to 140k/h, but not from a standstill. The brakes were excellent though, but overall I was expecting more.

Best rides?
A red 198x Ferrari 308GTS Q-V being driven like it should. A pleasent B-road. Tires squeeling every turn and bottoming out the front over every crest.

A black 1990 Ferrari Testarossa for some brief highway jumps were good for a smile or two about 200k/h, and the sound at that speed, oh god the sound. You have the slitted intake next to your shoulder sucking the air in and 12 wholesome cylinders some distance behind you. Let them sing and it's just great.

The most fun? A 2002 Outback in the fresh snow. :)

the countach-looking diablo, and the first exige.

So far in my short driving career of 4 months ( Learners permit ) I've driven a 03' Chevy Avalanche, a 05' Chevy Equionx, 99' Olds Cutlass ( mine for now ) and my sister's Chevy Cobalt SS. As you can see my family likes GM cars. The Cobalt was the fastest of them but I was only allowed to drive it in the neighbor hood because 1. It was brand new and my sister didn't know I was driving it, 2. It was a stick so I was learning how to drive a stick.

Since I am on the subject, I'll share a Valet story. At Portofino I once got a call down, meaning a guest called from his/her room for his/her car to waiting for them by the time they get downstairs. So knowing this was a call down, I figured I had a couple min. Most of the time, call downs are pains. You have to keep your keys on your belt, so you can go get that tip. Most people take forever to come down. So like I said,I thought I had a few min. and I walked to the car in the garage. I got to the garage, and found out that the BMW keys I was holding were the keys to a brand new Black M3. Brand new. Big smile. I took this car for a "run" I went out the long way, using the far exit of the garage, putting me furthest away from the ramp. (Ramp = Front door of the Hotel) So I floored it, up the drive towards the ramp. Got threw 4 gears. Probably around 60mph.
I pull up, park it off to the side, expecting the guest to come down later. This guy walks over to me, and asks, "You like that car?" I respond, "Of course, you see it, its a M3. One of favorite cars to drive." he responds, "You looked like you having fun." I say, "I was." finally he says, "Can I take it now?" we at the window now, I was about to get another car. I look at him, and see he has a ticket in his hand and a 5 dollar tip. I ask stupidly, "Is that yours?!" he says proudly, "Yes, I got it two days ago." I then begin to say sorry, I run over to his car, open it for him, start it again, the typical valet thing. He insists that it was ok, and that was the reason he fell in love with the car as well.
Most embassing moment in my Valet career. He was cool about it.

I'm sorry but that gave me a good laugh.

I've only ridden in cars since I can't drive, but get this!

1.) Chevy Corvette Stingray
2.) TVR Cerbera
3.) Porsche Boxster
4.) Porsche 911
5.) Nissan Skyline R33
6.) Ford Mondeo ST24 Estate V6
7.) Toyota Celica T-Sport

Now I know what you're thinking, what the hell is a Mondeo doing here, but trust me, that thing goes like s*** off a shovel

My drivers Ed car was a 2002 Mini Cooper, Six Speed Auto with the Sport Shift. It was a mean little car, handled like a Go-Kart and Accelerated pretty quick for being an NA Four Banger.

The other two reasonably quick cars I've driven are my dads 1966 El Camino with the 195 horse 2bbl 283 V8 and Powerglide Tranny as well as my car, a 1966 Chevelle 300 Deluxe with an identical drivetrain. The El Camino handles better due to it having air shocks and manual steering but it doesn't run nearly as nice as my Chevelle. Mine goes 0-60 in about 7 Seconds thanks to the 2 1/4 inch Dual Exhaust and Radial tires. Not fast by any means but still more impressive than driving say, my moms 2.0 Litre Split Port Focus.

Well..one of my friends has a 2005 Lancer EVO VIII that we rode around in for a bit. And then my other friend, his dad used to have a MIni Cooper S which he JUST sold. So within the next few days he's getting a 2006 911 Carrera S, which sooner or later i'll either drive or ride in.

Hm...since I'm only 17 and living in Germany, I only driven the VW Polo I use for some Auto-cross events (on tarmac, not the rally-cross style), a driving instructors BMW 320d E46 (REALLY nice drive, steering feeling is AWSOME), comared to my dad's 2003 Renault Grand Espace.......
Drove that on a tarmac rally stage (we were oficials and we were allowed to drive to our designated spot, so I could floor it "safely").....it's not that spectacular, 150hp engine+6speed is fun though :) Steering response and feedback is just :scared: , even if I will be able to take the car on the Ring after getting my licence (I mean...2-3 years after that) I'll never push it because it's just scary going fast in the thing, it's like you're steering through cheese 💡 :guilty:

Enough with what I've driven, now with my ride-alongs......you see, not having MANY friends that are car-freaks, it isn't THAT incredible, but here it goes:

1.BMW ///M5 E34, my all-time favourite, 340hp, had a crash on lap 7 (Nürburgring competition, WITH the Döttinger-höhe straight :) ). It's so fun, the sound is incredible, the burblung idle just gets in your blood ;)

2.Alpina B12 E38, the same guy with the ///M5, this time 6.0 V12, 430hp.....Only ridden like 20 min in it, but very comfy, a nice V12 noise(almost like a V8, almost!) and bags of tourqe (600 Nm i think). Top speed 291kmh, unfortunately unable to verify due to traffic :(

3.BMW X5 4.8is, 4.8L V8 with 370hp and 6spd steptronic, a really nice V8-bark I can always hear in my dreams !! Just incredible blend of performance, sound, looks, luxury and hard ride (20" standard rims and NÜR-suspension). Reached 250 on the Autobahn, while "racing" a 911 (which got pulled over, for whatever reason :dopey: )

That'd be all, planned for this summer : 1978 Porsche 924, Nissan 350Z, Mercedes 200E W124 and much more.........

PS: No, having ridden only in BMW supercars is just a HUGE COINCIDENCE that I'm a huge BMW nut :sly:

HYBRIDLVR
My BMW 850CSi, 528HP Twin Turbo V-12 with Big Brake Kit etc........ Rides fantastic and Massive torgue, I call it my Masterpiece, It now has 20x11 inch rear wheels and a 3:91 Rear end, A real 8 Series Screamer!

Very nice but 12 cylinders and 2 turbos making 530hp? Time to turn the boost up :)

Fastest car i have riden in for a long period of time is a hi 10 sec in the 1/4 mile 92 Laser Awd (4g63 powered). On race gas, it dynoed 564 AWHP so that's around 600 at the crank. Laggy but damn fun. :)

coolest car ive driven was a 20's model t when i was workin at a quick lube got to drive it around the block kinda confusing with no gas pedal
fastest car ive been in was an 02 RA TA 160 on the tollway all stock

You don't want the Boost up to high on a 12 Cylinder, Well not with everyday driving, Also the gas prices in California will kill you! Once I had it cranked to 16 Pounds and it put out over 700HP, Dynoed of course! but that was way more power than i need, It also Ripped the carrier band off my driveshaft with that Hi boost!:nervous:

I've driven an AMG E55. It's still the fastest and most powerful thing I've ever driven. It might very well be the most powerful car I'll ever drive.

I did move a Dodge Viper GT-S once. When I say move, it's because I literally moved it about one-half of a car length since it was blocking a car that a detailer needed to move from his stall. But I won't count that as a car I've driven, since I never let my foot off the clutch pedal, or moved the steering wheel while in gear! It was a cool feeling, nonetheless. But I did sit in it.

Otherwise, I drive Lexuses all day long. I drove a turbo-ed IS 300 around the service lot once. It didn't ride as nice as a stock IS, since it had much less ground clearance and big 'ol rims, though. Working at a Lexus dealer let me drive cars that I'd never get a chance to drive. I don't get to drive the cars much anymore, as my duties are more about complaints and concerns, writing reports and such. Sigh.

When I was 12, my dad took my brother and I to Shelton Ferrari, and they let us take pics of the cars with our crummy 110-film cameras and sit in a few of them in the showroom. That was cool.

Not driven anything cool yet really (well, a few laps in an MG TF 160 and a Formula First at Knockhill don't really count), but I had a ride in a Porsche 928 GTS when I was younger. I don't remember much about it apart from the fact it was very quick.

Corvette C5 - broke 100mph in the middle of the night in the middle of deer season...scary ride

'69 Camaro - my friend and his dad full restored their Camaro to amazing condition...wow

2005 M5 - i fell in love with this baby

Driven
C4 Corvette with only 12,000miles on it.

67 Chevelle - ahh...american muscle

These are more at the lower end of the spectrum, but I've test-driven a 2005 BMW 325i and a 2006 Nissan 350Z, I've driven my friends' Nissan B13 SE-R and 1985 Toyota Celica Supra, and I drove a rented BMW E60 525ti around the Nurburgring on a trip to Germany.

I haven't really ridden in anything that was any faster or "cooler" than the above cars.

The coolest car I've driven is my brother's HSV Clubsport.

But, the riding is where it's at:

My cousin has a 70's restored Porsche. Damn that thing can haul! We went for a quick jaunt along the road (up a mountain and back) and I was thoroughly impressed. For old technology, it's still competitive - well, on the road anyway.

The best car I've had a ride in though:

Ferrari 550 Barchetta!

At a race meeting I was at, during the lunch break the Ferrari club offered rides around the track in their cars for a small donation (understandibly, I can't remeber the charity). Anyway, I pays me $2 and join the line. After about 10 minutes I'm near the front and wondering what car will pick me up. There's a host of 360's and 355's, plenty of older Ferrari's, a 550 Maranello and the Barchetta. It's purely luck-of-the-draw which cars pulls up to pick you up.

I'm about three from the front and I see the Barchetta pulling into pit-lane. The guy in front of me climbs into a 360, and I watch it as it screams away up the lane. Then a hand bumps my arm and I look back in front of me to see the open door of the Barchetta and a driver rushing me to get in!

I jump in and haven't even got the belt on before he hooks first gear and we're off like a shot! Nearly got whiplash from the acceleration! Anyway, the driver tells me we can't go too fast as the car is actually on it's way to be delivered to the owner. (There's only two Barchettas in NZ). Fortunately, he only means fast around the corners! He gets his boot right up it on the straights, gearbox is amazing! We reached 200km'h easy on the faster parts, and the speed piles on like crazy. Having my hair buffetted by 200km/h is interested. I think the wind dried my mouth out because I was grinning from ear-to-ear. :D The sound still make hairs on the back of my neck standup!

It's over all too soon, and I'm dropped back in the pitlane for some other lucky punter to take my place.

Not the worst $2 I've ever spent, that's for sure.

Rarest and coolest car I've driven: NSX-T RHD
Fastest cool car I've driven (in general): SL55 AMG
Fastest cool car I've driven (and actually drove it fast): My '93 3000GT VR4 (R.I.P.)
Honorable mentions: 911 Carrera, Viper GTS, CLK430 AMG, ZO6, my old drag teams '87 5.0 Mustang GT drag car with 800~830 rwhp+150shot of NOS, and our second '90 5.0 GT with 1100rwhp Novi2000 S/C+125shot of NOS. Those last two could be off by 50-100 rwhp, I don't remember the exact numbers as it was over 6 years ago.

I have more cars but too tired to type up a list.

I took my dads XLR for a good spin when he bought it. My younger brother hammers on it all the time. I drive a Hyundai Accent, so when I was a car salesman (Mazda-Jeep), anything was exciting. Lots of seat time in Miatas, 1 RX8, a Z3 (junk!) short drives in a C5 and a WS6 Firebird...

My buddys Z06 was a fun ride on the autocross track. Ive driven faster cars but never pushed like at an autocross event.
